Hopefully LSU can catch punts and kick short field goals

If we're gonna beat Kstate 2 things need to improve. 1) cut down on penalties. 2) Cook needs to throw the ball 15+ yards better.

3) No busted coverage plays by the secondary.

Prepare to be disappointed, we aren’t going to dominate anyone with a pulse on offense. We are going to be giving up a lot of yards and points this season. It’s just the way it is

I simply expect us to open our playbook up and dominate.

You do realize we don't have a deep playbook to begin with, right? Our running game has like 4 or 5 plays, and I'd be shocked if our passing game had more than 20.

Anyways, I'd like to see a pass rush, more Dylan Sampson, more Bru McCoy, and less Warren Burrell.

Don't know. Weather delay caused me to watch very little and 10 PM kickoff at Arizona will cause me to watch even less this week.

Better QB vision of safeties, maybe.

Hell, just better reading of the defense at all. So many missed opportunities

1. Secondary play. Which could be helped by going back to the 3 down linemen drop 8 defense which worked so well last season. It seemed like we blizted more Saturday than we did all of last season, leaving our corners and safeties on islands and it doesn't help losing both starting safeties to injuries. 2. North and South, not East and West. This should be the philosophy for this offense. Briles wants so badly to have plays go East and West, whether it's speed sweeps or bubble screens. Our offense is at its best throwing vertically, and running between the tackles. North and South.

I agree with this.

I think Briles was trying to catch them off guard early by throwing the ball instead of running down their throat like we all expected. If Johnson was available we may have attacked the middle more. I loved the fact that we got the ball with over 5 minutes to play in the game and ran the clock out, that’s huge and KJ did a great job.

I wanted to puke when Slusher and Catalon went out but those two like to hit so I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise. Hope we get them both back soon. Bumper had a great game and hopefully we’ll see more from Sanders as the season goes on.

We are better, IMO, right now than how we started last year and with better overall speed on offense I’m looking forward to some exciting football.
