Week 2 improvements. What do you expect?

It’s said a team improves a good bit from the first to the second game. What are your expectations?
First- offensive line play must improve for run blocking.
Second- I’d like to see King look off more. He locked in on his targets too often
Third- this one bugged the shite out of me- you cannot kick the ball out of bounds on kickoffs.

Better weather, probably not.
Better QB vision of safeties, maybe.

Winning would be a huge improvement.

nothing to improve except maybe tightening up the ILB and DL play a tad

OL continues to jell. They looked solid game 1.
More TE production. I expected more plays to them last week.
AR being AR

O Line getting better
More precise throws by QB, leading to more YAC.
Correction of errors every team experiences - blown assignments, missed assignments, wrong route, etc.
Keep the threat of the run constant all game.

I simply expect us to open our playbook up and dominate.

Get the true freshmen valuable in game experience.

Gator D line has to get better. Lack of depth is a big problem.

I expect Haynes King to improve slightly. He seemed a bit out of control and uncertain at times, but willing to do what Mond didn’t, force the ball to playmakers and leverage your talent, not just the scheme.
I don’t want him to lose that, he just needs to be sharper and more decisive.
Not sure how much the offensive line will improve, but most do as the season progresses.

Stronger effort from O-Line. We will need the run game vs Texas
Maybe BOB was conservative but not many deep shots vs Utah State. Maybe it was the coverage they played. Want a few vs Texas

We def need to tighten up the run defense.

clean up penalties and sloppy tackling.

I'd like to see some more downfield passing and a punt of 40+ yards, for starters.

Nothing. LSU sucks.
The sunshine pumpers on this board will try and glean something from this week’s game, but it’s against Southern. They won’t admit that LSU is as poorly coached as they were under Orgeron.

If we're gonna beat Kstate 2 things need to improve. 1) cut down on penalties. 2) Cook needs to throw the ball 15+ yards better.

Hopefully, pass rush. With Tennessee's mediocre secondary, you can't give the QB much time. If you get picked apart by Ball State...what will an actual ranked team do to you?

1. Secondary play. Which could be helped by going back to the 3 down linemen drop 8 defense which worked so well last season. It seemed like we blizted more Saturday than we did all of last season, leaving our corners and safeties on islands and it doesn't help losing both starting safeties to injuries.
2. North and South, not East and West. This should be the philosophy for this offense. Briles wants so badly to have plays go East and West, whether it's speed sweeps or bubble screens. Our offense is at its best throwing vertically, and running between the tackles. North and South.
