If a team beats a ranked team, then that is a win over a ranked opponent.

Regardless of where you finish.

Example: When Alabama motorboats A&Ms tits Saturday and drips them out of the top 25, that's still a ranked win.

shite, even when we beat a ranked team that stays ranked it's cause of refs, dodge chargers, they are overrated, they didn't prepare for our backup QB, etc.

What was Florida State ranked when we beat the stew out of them with Franscois? We got no credit for that.

Bama has won 5 NCs in 10 years and it's still because of a soft schedule and media bias in some folks eyes.

frick no. You're not going to get credit for beating a pre-season top 10 Miami even though they aren't that good.

So you’re saying we can’t just pick the ranking that fits our narrative?

No it’s not, you dunce. So you’re telling me that if Miami goes 6-6, you’re counting that as a top 10 win. No, just no.

I disagree, I think all that matters is what that team finishes.

I don't think we deserved credit for a Top 5 win for beating FSU last year.

A win over a ranked team this early is usually still an unknown. It’s about where they finish. Stop trying to get extra credit for LSU potentially over valued wins by sucking up to Bama.

Disagree. It’s all about where you wind up.

It’s obvious they’re jealous of the mutual respect and friendship that A&M-Bama have.

Ok but what if a team is riding high, playing great, and has a season to play for but then has a tough loss that causes their season to fall apart down the ztretch? Does that mean they weren't good when they loss?

Hasn't applied much in the past...pre-season rankings are based on projections and are purely subjective as no games have been played...last year we opened against #3 FSU, supposedly the best opening game matchup ever...and it ended up hurting our SOS...

You never really know how strong your schedule is till the end of the season...how a team performs after you beat them matters...
