Terrible list, Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams are both top 7 nationally. But you don't think that matters because of the competition? Most teams have played nothing but terrible opponents so that point is invalid. They should both be top 5 individually in the SEC if they're top 7 in the country.

Most of the backs on the list aren't getting as many touches as those two, and on top of that they are playing better competition by far. Don't expect any sort of respect until Arkansas plays a team that is mildly capable.

Some of you fans need to calm down. If they are legit #1 and #2, then give it a few weeks and it will work itself out. But as of now, Arkansas hasn't played anybody with a pulse.

Giving then #1 and #2 is no different than Manti Te'o winning all of that post-season hardware, which everyone on the Rant was calling bullshite.

If "objective stats" are the primary criteria for the rankings, then you can't have Collins 3rd. He leads the conference and is 4th in the country.
Well, if that primary criteria is then set into context based on quality of opponent, I can.

Also, you keep saying he leads the SEC and is 4th in the country, but you are using only one metric and probably not the best one to use if you are only going to select one (which I don't do).

Ok, what's the best one to use if you're only going to use one?

Using one is foolish, but if just choosing one, yards per game would be better than total yards.

Bo didnt play much his freshman year.

Is this the new line after AC3 is halfway to Bo's 12 game total after 3 games?

Weird, Auburn fans were going full retard over Dyer breaking Bo's unbelievable freshman rushing record of 829 yards a couple years ago...

Collins leads the SEC, but WDE has him 3rd.

And I'm the homer.

You forgot about Jalson Fowler.

I would say Gurley, Fowler, then Yeldon, then the rest...

Todd Gurley is averaging more yards per game than both Collins and Williams, against significantly better competition. There's your answer, Stonehog.

I feel like Stonehog ignored this because it didn't fit his argument, so I'll post it again.

Sure it does. Collins accomplished something that had never been done by any player in SEC history, that includes the players on your list.

So will he flame out in college like Knile Davis or in the pros like Darren McFadden?

Gurley and Davis both have more yards from scrimmage per game, average more yards per carry, and have more TDs against unquestionably much better competition.

Collins and Williams both have at least 100 more yards than Gurley, and that's with splitting carries.
