Quality of competition has always been a factor in his evaluations. Hasn't changed.

What's your response to Collins doing something Dmac, Bo, and Herschel didn't?

You said the parameters have always been the same,
They have. Stats, quality of opponent and sometimes the eye test have always been the components used.

but you decided to change them this week because of our schedule.
I decided to allow a tie because it made sense. The parameters for selection or ranking in no way changed.

Collins leads the conference in rushing and you have him third, that alone makes the list invalid.
No it doesn't. Stats alone don't tell the full story.

Not just calling the list "Top 5 SEC RB's" when you have 6.
What if the tie was for 5th place?

Has literally no relevance for the purposes of this list.

I see Jeremy Hill moving up on your list.

Way up.

Objective statistics are the primary criteria utilized in formulating this list

You may want to look up the definition of "primary."

Then you would still have 6 players on a top 5 list.

Auburn math?

Hill will only move up if he beats down one of the guys ahead of him, or if he has more rushing yards in a head to head than that person.

Sure it does. Collins accomplished something that had never been done by any player in SEC history, that includes the players on your list.

Lol

No? Alex Collins has done something as a freshman no other running back in SEC history has done....but it has no relevance on a running back ranking?

Okay....

Todd Gurley is averaging more yards per game than both Collins and Williams, against significantly better competition. There's your answer, Stonehog.

Nope.

He didn't ask a question comparing Collins to the players on my list. Also, the fact that Collins is a freshman doesn't get weighted on this list.

TJ also has to take better care of the ball if he wishes to move up this list (and I know from a good source -buccwildbammer - that he does).

I saw that, and like I said, you should look up the definition of primary. If "objective stats" are the primary criteria for the rankings, then you can't have Collins 3rd. He leads the conference and is 4th in the country.

Go make your own list...it is subjective and based on the OP's criteria. This thread always delivers comedy.

WDE I know this thread is meant in no way as a troll, but bless you for it anyway. Other fans pretty much troll themselves.

This list only applies to the 2013 season. Using a stat that qualifies things for freshman doesn't have relevance as number of years in college isn't part of the lists criteria.
