Holy frick that young man looks terrifying for the dolphins. I can't think of any back I have every seen with that combination of speed, balance and footwork.
Was he just not able to shine in jimbos offense / aTms oline?

Seems like he was hurt a lot IIRC?
NVM, I thought he had missed another stretch besides that FL injury, but doesn’t look like he did.

You can't really be an LSU fan to produce a post like that.

Didn’t he run for like a million yards on LSU?

Did he have Travis Etiene's career or Derrick Henry's single season output? No but he was pretty damn good. I figured he would be a great addition to the Miami offense and defintely wouldn't be 3rd string for long.

I was about to say the same thing. When he was drafted I was thinking, “thank God.” I rarely covet anything Aggie, but Achane was fantastic.

If you’re an LSU fan and have to ask this question you were in a coma at the end of the regular season last year.

He was likely the fastest player in the sec.

Jimbo went full Tom Herman with Bijan Robinson when Achane was a Freshman and realized right as the season was over what a buffoon he was not getting him enough carries.
I don't remember him being hurt in 2021 but he was pretty badass when he got the ball as I recall. I do remember last year he got hurt and missed a few games then came back and basically put the team on his back and destroyed LSU.

We had Spiller as the workhorse so Achane would get a few carries a game but would average 10 ypc or something huge. Had a big game in the Orange Bowl and was the games MVP. Anyone who saw that game remembers his long TD to seal it.
He shined big time in the win over Alabama in 2021 when we had Calzada at QB. Anyone who saw that game remembers his kickoff return.
Then he was the workhorse back last year and was solid with no QB help, but did miss several games in the middle of the year. Came back for the LSU game and dominated. Anyone who saw the LSU game remembers.

Very poorly deployed in college.
Regarded as just a speed guy, but I saw a lot Emmitt Smith in his running style, ie, ability to minimize or avoid direct hits and use his hands to move past tacklers. (And more power than he was given credit for).

It was just 999,999. Please don’t exaggerate so much.

Having a lethal passing attack really opens things up in the run game. Miami is a juggernaut offensively when everyone is healthy. Hopefully Tua stays upright, because it's fun to watch.

I was soooo fricking pissed when the Saints took the RB from TCU instead of Achane in the draft.
Sometimes I wonder how the guys who get paid all that money to evaluate players fail to see what a bunch of schmoes like us could see in Achane.
