They have this fantasy that it will be like some movie.
That Papa Kiffin will walk out and expect the boos and jeers, but the stalwart Ol Piss fans will go stone silent and give him the cold shoulder instead.
The camera pans over them, sour faced, saying nothing. Kiffin will look at this reception and be unnerved, and lose his composure. Crickets, only the sound of Kiffin screaming, knowing he ruined the best job anyone could ever want (in their minds) and begging them to take him back. Only to be greeted by icy silence.
Then Golding will drunkenly trot out and the stadium will explode in jubilation. The cameras will shake. They'll say it measures on the Richter scale. LSU and Lane will cower, since they've never experienced anything like "the Vaught"
They'll go on to win and send Lane and the kitties running out of town and Lane begging for his job back, saying he was wrong. And they just give him silence again.
That's the script in the head of whoever wrote this crap.

What’s funny to me is they’re making such a conscious effort not to boo the opposing team, which is just stupid. This is just a football game. It shows you’re going more out of your way to do what you normally wouldn’t do when an opposing team comes out on your field. It’s about booing the LSU Tigers you dumbasses not Lane Kiffin. The ones making it all about him are clearly you. But that’s fine if you don’t. We’ll just have the LSU crowd going.
