I agree with you, however we have to remember the national commentators tend to be on whatever opinion gets them most airtime and clicks.

Their positions are determined by exposure, not honesty and actually held positions

Good luck on a countersuit. All of those have a ridiculously high burden of proof and I disagree with you on the level of exposure the conference has. Guess we'll see

Several schools did. The players said it out of their own mouth you dipshit.

LSU took the players in question off the table and stopped poking the bear
Only after it was clear they weren't going to be signed by any other opponent, namely Ole Miss. Again, Kiffin was clear about this from the beginning

How do you people get this way?

It was a warning shot and in my opinion it was an effective one
Explain why the SEC said they were going to discipline LSU even though Kiffin didn't sign the players on the basis of him "conspiring" against the SEC but then totally backed down after Landry et al made some phone calls? You people swore up and down that LSU was getting kicked out of the conference. The SEC ultimately didn't even vote on it. What a joke

There’s your problem right there. Do you even know why the judges are making these rulings? Do you understand why the players sought court relief in the first place?

You do not know the louisiana first circuit. It has always been an excellent circuit and probably the best circuit in the state. and when you read its order it is obvious they are correct. this was not a decision on the merits but only whether the judge abused discretion and since that was not shown (a high bar) the stay was denied. If the SEC really wants to challenge then go thru with an appeal on the merits. will take about 9 months

Jeff Landry disagrees with you
Landry was defending LSU from vindictive behavior of the SEC. LSU is not involved in any of the court cases. You don't know the facts

Sure. Let's start with the Judge in the Chambliss case...

In that conversation: Every LSU fan on this board...

The more Sankey keeps pushing and trying to single out LSU while all these 5th year pro washouts are getting TROs around the country, the more he makes LSU look sympathetic and himself unhinged and unsuitable for his current position

don't interrupt your enemy when he's making mistakes

We won’t see anything. They will privately overpay the players to settle & Sankey would jump off a bridge before he let that federal suit get in front of a judge.

Have to maintain the illusion of control.

But sooner or later a case like this will end up in court, and conference will get slammed.

The only hope for the NCAA is an antitrust exemption, but they don’t deserve it & can’t be trusted with it.

I am okay with salary caps, but CFB needs Congress to create a new governing body to regulate it. The NCAA needs to stay in the locker that the law has shoved it in for a decade now… along with its conferences by extension.

Eh, I went through all of this at length. The SEC is definitely in a pickle if someone does pursue the matter. The evidence is all of the court losses the NCAA has been suffering lately. The SEC is just the next bowling pin

Personal character attacks are what people losing arguments resort to.

EVERY LSU fan on here cried about the Biased judge in the Chambliss case (and so did I to be fair).

Now LSU gets a biased BR judge, along with influence from the Governor of La, and a second ruling from another state judge and "It's all good".

Buch of hypocrites you are.

Do you have something other than childish emojis? Like something actually substantive?

Question - why did the SEC say they were taking LSU to federal court only to indefinitely postpone it, regardless of whether LSU signed the players or not? Why did the SEC cancel it's vote to expel LSU?
