So, the NCAA rule is overly emotional and out of control?
The NCAA fought cases regarding amateurs maintaining status and lost thanks to pantsuit judges that LSU love cheering on.
Chambliss is no pro.

quote:Funny how lawyers representing LSU's interests are kicking butt but not involved in any of these suits.
They kicked the SECs butt in court twice now
I cant imagine why people hate LSU.

LSU might be gaining an advantage by merely following a court order
But they didn't, and Kiffin chickened out. Guess Will Wade will have to be the dude to man up.

I mean Sankey won. Those players aren’t playing in the SEC this year

Ah, just what I was hoping for this morning, a lawyer to tell me what is wrong with college football

they can say they had the right to play, but the SEC can say as a member institution that their members cannot play those players

Freshmen in college this season were in peewee football when Chambliss was on a roster in college.

Chambliss is either a pro or Van Wilder.
Either way one is not like the other.

I think Sankey is doing fine other than not punishing LSU.
Not clicking that shite
Upvoted.
These idiots don't understand that this was the other 15 member institutions that almost put LSU to sleep, not Sankey.

After all of Landry’s and Murrill’s comments and interviews it is clear the entire state of Louisiana is involved in this.
I think that is what is being missed here. The focus is on the players. That is basically resolved. Sure someone may have to write a check, maybe but in the grand scheme of things who cares...The conference will pay it if it comes to that and move on.
The conference however has already thrown around the phrase "lack of institutional control". Comments such as those give more fuel to that fire and such an investigation can be very broad. I think ultimately it is a warning shot and TBH I think LSU received it. Sure the fans are bumping their gums but the institution itself seems to be pretty quiet at this point.

After all of Landry’s and Murrill’s comments and interviews it is clear the entire state of Louisiana is involved in this
That's why the conference looked so stupid when they were going to punish LSU. It was clearly vindictive and that's why LA stepped in and shut the SEC down. Notice how quiet Sankey has been about it after talking all tough about how he was going to take LSU to the woodshed even though LSU didn't even sign the players?

Punish LSU for what? Be specific
Conduct unbecoming an SEC member institution and Lack of Institutional Control specifically going back over a decade. This was outlined and documented in great detail in a thread a couple of weeks ago.

They aren’t playing at LSU this year, they are playing at other schools in the conference for some reason though
