If LSU wants to continue to battle the SEC I am certain it will work out well for them.
It always amuses me to read the uninformed opinions of people who have neither taken the time to read the pleadings in any of these court cases, nor even read the caption to see what parties are involved in the litigation.

Sure

Let's start with the Judge in the Chambliss case
You don't even know what this is all about. Go read my legal thread where I discuss all of the details

Let’s review the full context of that reply:
The scope of parties could get huge, potentially including parties from individual SEC schools / not just the conference’s leadership… again due to the SEC’s structure.
quote:
This is only an effective strategy for the SEC so long as they can stay out of court. You can only bluff so many times before something like this eventually gets fully litigated.
If the federal suit goes to a judge or if one of either Wright / Harris decide not to settle…
SEC is looking at exposure to:
1. Antitrust
2. Contempt
3. Possible permanent injunction rendering relevant bylaws void*
If the SEC pursues the federal suit they’ll also be looking at countersuits from LSU on selective enforcement, collusion, and defamation.
*A court could find that the SEC’s organizational structure facilitates suppression of free trade, given there is now known money involved in CFB but their bylaws currently allow imposing harsh penalties or exclusionary measures without arbitration or evidence.

That's not the point. The point is the schools and these players are taking these cases to courts where they know the judges and will get favorable rulings. Ole Miss Did it, Tennessee did it, and LSU is doing it.
THAT's Why they are winning these cases, not because of the merit of the cases themselves.

That’s his modus operandi. You can bet your arse he knows every detail of this court case. He just runs around slinging and spewing shite. He’s very clever. Just ask him.

Now LSU gets a biased BR judge

But the original post isn't about the federal case. It's about the local case.

This appeal was filed secretly with the appeals court after the SEC had asked another judge to review the ruling.
how does one file an appeal "secretly"?

quote:Precisely. I explained in the legal thread that the SEC presidents will also be legally on the hook if anti trust action is pursued. The SEC is trying to hang on to an outdated and even illegal business model. Unless the SEC wises up and constructs a CBA, legal action against the conference is more than likely inevitable

Losing the other case is what made Sankey, UGA, and the Vols bitch to crash out last week.
Wonder what tantrum they'll throw this time.

mean Sankey won. Those players aren’t playing in the SEC this year
That’s not what this is about anymore. If Sankey “won” as you’ve stated, why then is the SEC still filing briefs and asking for court decisions?

frick off with this lazy shite. Overly narrow framing begging someone else to put in the effort to explain the entire context & how these + other state rulings are related.
How about you educate yourself?
Your argument is a biased judge?
And yet the same rulings are coming from other states… following a federal injunction against the NCAA… the SEC has since lost an appeal in a different court… and begun withdrawal of their federal lawsuit… in which they sought pre-textual shielding from… the law.

quote:You're acting like LSU judge shopped to get a favorable ruling. That didn't happen. LSU never even mentioned these players until after TROs were issued. Did you know that Harris/Wright weren't even the first to seek injunctive relief? This is so stupid. We're just rehashing points that have already been explained in my legal thread
But the original post isn't about the federal case
