The best part about this is other fans calling him a cheater like their coach isn't doing it. Then, saying "LSU fans are denying what's going to happen." Well no shite, what fanbase would sit here and be like "oh well, there's no point in watching any more games." I will ride with him until there's something official.

If he testifies under oath, he will either have to tell the truth or plead the 5th. Lying to the NCAA is nothing - people do it all the time. Lying under oath in a federal investigation is a big big deal. If he does that and is found out, he could go to big boy jail. The wiretaps that are publicly available are usually just the tip of the iceberg. There's almost certainly more. But, you know, maybe not.
Pleading the Fifth would help in court, but could cause some ripples in the NCAA. If the NCAA asks the same questions as the Feds do, pleading the Fifth really isn't an option. It's a mess, and the fact that there is no smoking gun yet (although the wiretap is incredibly damning) doesn't mean there won't be one.

I can assure you Rick Barnes did not cheat in building our roster. Our program under him has been built the right way and we are going to get screwed out of our sole sec championship, because of LSU’s cheating program.
At least until LSU’s share of it is vacated.
