Ole Miss friends say their message board insiders are saying he is playing and is fine. Who knows.
re: Ole Miss "injuries"?
Posted by West Monroe on 10/7/24 at 11:24 am
The rumor is Lane is mad that teams have done it to him in the past and now is going to do it to the extreme so they will change the rule for any injured player to be out until a change of possession. No idea if true or not, but they will do it Saturday night. South Carolina did it a few times in that game also.

LSU will have to play these games like every other SEC team does. Nobody in the SEC wants to play a day game with temps in 90's.

What was the item you tried to sell? I'm not aware of any requirements to sell, but I've been on there a long time.

Flipping stuff on ebay like antiquetiger is super easy. You can hit garage sales, estate sales and thrift stores at your convenience. Tons of videos on youtube of people that do it full time and part time. I do very well as my side hustle. Plus something I can do when I retire.

Hit garage sales and thrift stores like antiquetiger and sell stuff on ebay. You can have it paid off in 6 months if you get out and hustle. Maybe sooner depending how hard you do it.

Probably going back to Ole Miss. Got to love the transfer portal and NIL.

I saw where Chase Bank is also building a new warehouse for some of their mortgage files in Ruston. Chase has a huge operation in Monroe out by the airport. I think I read it will eventually employee 200 workers.

Several high dollar attorneys are putting money in as is Real Tree. The guy who started that company played for Ole Miss back in the 70's. His son is very active with Lane and Ole Miss sports. Heck they have worn a Real Tree helmet the last 2 years.

Life is short....do what you want to do....biggest thing would be health insurance....a private policy is probably $800 to $1200 a month.....I would figure that part out first....
re: Decamerion Richardson to Ole Miss

Lane not playing around. He is going all in for 2024. They have a good bit of offense coming back and trying to get their defense up to par.
re: Mizzou now has 0 wins over AP top 25 teams

They will try to give the bowls the match ups they want. If the Cotton Bowl wants Ole Miss/Texas they more than likely will get it.
re: Serious question for lsu fans: do you know anyone who’s named a kid after Joe burrow?

Not after Joe, but named their daughter Ellie Sue so it would sound like LSU when you said it. No lie.
re: Ole Miss claiming the 2003 SEC West
Posted by West Monroe on 9/28/23 at 12:01 pm
I don't know any Ole Miss fans who like that they have the banner up in the stadium. True the SEC office does send all 1st place winners a trophy which they did receive. The only people it seems to bother is LSU fans which might be why they put it up. We won the national title....who cares about the dumb banner in their stadium?

They used to be in our indoor practice center. Haven't been in there in years so no idea if they still are or aren't. I mean I get the making fun of it.

The SEC office did send them a trophy. They give any team that finishes in first a trophy no matter if they lost to another team head to head. The head determines who goes to the championship game or seeding in tournaments.
re: Ole Miss, Oxford and the Grove, travel advice. KO 5PM
Posted by West Monroe on 9/25/23 at 2:30 pm
Need a parking pass to even get on campus. Better have a plan for parking. They do offer shuttles, but those lots will fill up quick on Saturday with it being LSU. There will be a ton of folks staying in the Grove watching the game on tv. There are a few businesses off campus who offer parking for pay, but again those will fill up quick.
Oxford is a lot better for a baseball weekend than football game. During the spring you can get around town and get into most restaurants. You can probably forget about eating on the Square without a 2 hour or more wait.
Oxford is a cool town. They have jerk fans just like we do. All the negative things you read on here about Ole Miss fans are the exact same thing my Ole Miss friends say about their trips to LSU. Just have to ignore stuff.

Step up your side hustle. Do like antiquetiger and hit garage sales, estates sales, thrift stores, etc. You can make serious extra money with a side hustle.
I don't know what the potential is in your primary job. Of course making money there would be the number 1 goal.
re: Ticket brokers are playing games acting like LSU’s first game is for National Championship
Posted by West Monroe on 6/13/23 at 10:06 am
There weren't any tickets for sale outside the gate for either title game last year according to my Ole Miss friends who went. Now that was Ole Miss' first time to play in it, but I would think LSU would bring a ton like Ole Miss did.

There were Ole Miss fans who couldn't get in last year and had to watch the games across the street. Of course those were the title games, but LSU will have a ton of folks there. The demand will be high.
