Kiffin says he will not discuss any job openings during the season. He did the exact same thing in 2022. Ole Miss obviously has an offer already for him and just waiting. I'm sure Lane is listening to UF and LSU to maximize his money. Just hard for me to believe he will leave Oxford while his son is playing football. 2 years from now all bets off.
He always says he doesn't discuss these things until the season is over. Did the same thing in 2022. Good way to get leverage also.
Does Kiffin leave his high school son who just moved there and plays QB for Oxford high? Lane does go to the games on Friday night when Ole Miss is at home. Going to be interesting.

Their Foundation can give an additional contract to get around the 4 years allowed by the state of MS. They are doing that already. Hard to believe Lane will leave with his son in high school and playing football. Knox transferred to Oxford because he had become friends with so many there. If you listen or read anything about Kiffin he really talks a lot about his relationship with his dad. He isn't going to leave Knox and miss out on him playing the next 2 years. Ole Miss can match any offer from any school. 2 years from now he will be way more likely to leave. Lane loves all this drama and it will go on until the season is over for Ole Miss.

Ole Miss is a perennial loser. Maybe not a celar dweller but not historically great.

The problem with this line of thinking is the college game is not what it was 5 years ago. It's mainly about the money. Ole Miss was one of the first schools to figure out NIL. Just about every Ole Miss fan I know contributes to their NIL. Just about every LSU fan I know don't give anything. Now I don't know if these lower level givesr make much a difference, but they also have a lot of heavy hitters helping with NIL.

You just can't say because a school has been historically bad or great will continue under this new college football model. Ole Miss is paying him a nice salary and probably can't match an offer.
Well you did read it when the title clearly said what it was about and then you had to respond to it.

Probably a business decision. Less free seats they have to give LSU and can sell to actual fans. It's all about the dollar now at every school. Ole Miss doesn't bring their full band usually to Baton Rouge.

Still not as embarrassing as 2003 SEC West co-champs

SEC office did send them a trophy though as they do with all teams who finish in first. I get the making fun for putting up a banner, but they do have a trophy for it.

Ole Miss friends say their message board insiders are saying he is playing and is fine. Who knows.

re: Ole Miss "injuries"?

The rumor is Lane is mad that teams have done it to him in the past and now is going to do it to the extreme so they will change the rule for any injured player to be out until a change of possession. No idea if true or not, but they will do it Saturday night. South Carolina did it a few times in that game also.

LSU will have to play these games like every other SEC team does. Nobody in the SEC wants to play a day game with temps in 90's.

What was the item you tried to sell? I'm not aware of any requirements to sell, but I've been on there a long time.

Flipping stuff on ebay like antiquetiger is super easy. You can hit garage sales, estate sales and thrift stores at your convenience. Tons of videos on youtube of people that do it full time and part time. I do very well as my side hustle. Plus something I can do when I retire.

Hit garage sales and thrift stores like antiquetiger and sell stuff on ebay. You can have it paid off in 6 months if you get out and hustle. Maybe sooner depending how hard you do it.

Probably going back to Ole Miss. Got to love the transfer portal and NIL.
I saw where Chase Bank is also building a new warehouse for some of their mortgage files in Ruston. Chase has a huge operation in Monroe out by the airport. I think I read it will eventually employee 200 workers.
Several high dollar attorneys are putting money in as is Real Tree. The guy who started that company played for Ole Miss back in the 70's. His son is very active with Lane and Ole Miss sports. Heck they have worn a Real Tree helmet the last 2 years.

Life is short....do what you want to do....biggest thing would be health insurance....a private policy is probably $800 to $1200 a month.....I would figure that part out first....
Lane not playing around. He is going all in for 2024. They have a good bit of offense coming back and trying to get their defense up to par.
They will try to give the bowls the match ups they want. If the Cotton Bowl wants Ole Miss/Texas they more than likely will get it.
