I would have liked to see Pearl and Barnes both split the honor. That might be unpopular with some of my fan base (Maybe not) but I thought he did an incredible job this year putting Auburn on the map.

Congrats to Auburn on a great season. The UT/AU game is something I'll look forward to as long as Pearl is still at Auburn.

Cheers boys

So Tennessee has the POY and Auburn doesn't have a single first time SEC... sounds like Pearl did a better coaching job if you ask me

Grant Williams wins SEC Player of the Year at 15.6 points, 5.8 rebs per game. Mustapha Heron not even named to second-team at 16.6 points, 5.5 rebs
Not trying to discredit Williams but this shows how Heron being left off alltogether is insane.

Completely fair. Would have been nice to see them split it but I got no problem with Barnes winning it

I just don't see this one... Dude's a beast but I did not think he was the best player in the SEC this year

He did a hell of a coaching job and did it with his hands tied. Started the season with 2 top players on NCAA suspension for the entire season, lost his Asst HC + two more coaches off his staff. He had to go through the shock on the FBI shite, an internal investigation by AU by hard asses like Lightfoot/White, and had to deal with the NCAA red tape to try to get his players back on the court.

More wins, less losses, and beat you on your court. Game blouses.

I'll say it again, as it is my new mantra...

We're a basketball school now.

Bruce had higher rated recruits...so it sounds like Barnes did a better job of coaching up his talent.

Our leading scorer’s only SEC offer was Auburn, he was heading to some scrub school. Pearl’s coached Brown up for 3 years

VOLS don’t have a single 4* in the rotation (Pons gets 5-7 minutes a game but that’s it).

Not sure why you think that’s a wild claim of his.
