Finally made my way to Knoxville and I will give the fans a lot of credit. Even when the game was in no doubt in the fourth many of the fans stayed in the stadium.

The campus is also pretty nice, save for the fraternity houses.

That being said, the stadium needs some major renovations to be on par with the other top tier SEC stadiums.

Also, just because you put the stickers on the seats closer together, doesn't mean that your stadium is "bigger", just that you want fans to be more uncomfortable at the games and want to trot out the tagline of how many "seats" your stadium has.

Also, your whole multimedia section needs to be fired. Not only is there no way to keep up with any other scores of other games like there is at other SEC stadiums, the replays they showed were always from the worst possible angle. The jumbotron always showed the ground level replays like I was watching high school highlights on the local news.

Finally, I think I will be hearing "Third Down for What" in my sleep even though Alabama converted 11-15 on third down. I'll be a happy guy if I never hear that song again in my life.

Neyland looks good on the outside, but yeah it's really not that great.

Bryant Denny does an extremely shitty job of this as well.

Neyland is a dump, no doubt... no amount of renovating is going to overcome the inherent flaws.

dead programs generally don't have the funds to renovate. Neyland will only get worse, it will probably be condemned in a few years.

I enjoyed the whole Knoxville experience but you are spot on about the seats. I felt like a sardine in there and I only weigh 165 lbs.

UT will be replaced by a more lively program with a stadium that isn't going to fall.

Yeah, they have so many flashing lights that it's a wonder more people don't fall out with epilepsy fits.

Stadium is a fricking canyon. By far, the stadium felt largest compared to all other stadiums I've been to. Other college stadiums were pretty nice but it felt like they were smaller inside. NFL stadiums felt tiny as frick.

Upper deck is scary, VERY steep not to mention the "hump"going back from the seats inside.
Every time I go, I swear I am not going back...yet I do.
At 3rd quarter concessions were out of everything but fountain drinks and hotdogs.

For the most part, fans were nice. One really rude drunk guy was escorted out by his friends. Saw one altercation with one Bama fan and 4 UT fans removed by security.

Fans did not, for the most part give up. A few left, but most didn't quit on their team. Props for that.

If the freshmen and sophs are any indication UT is on the up.
