Bryant Denny does an extremely shitty job of this as well.

One positive I will say about Neyland is that their scoreboards...not the jumbotron but the basic ribbon boards that continually keep score, down, distance, and timeouts, are way better than ours. For the palace of a stadium that BDS, the scoreboards at each end of the field are a fricking embarrassment. Skinny little characters, with the info so spread out that you actually have to look for the info to find it.

My only trip to Neyland gave me the following impressions:

Stadium setting/surrounding was great. Out tailgaiting was done by hoping bars up the hill from the stadium.

Our seats were only a couple of rows from the top and you couldn't even see the numbers on the uniforms.

Only way I would go again, is if I could be on a boat and stay there watching the game on TV.

That's rich - a Mississippi State fan finding fault with Neyland Stadium - think we need more cowbell, Hayseed?
Davis Wade is nicer than Neyland.

Again, you are speaking about the oldest parts of the stadium. They are about to be renovated

That's like putting a Maaco paint job on the 1986 Astrovan with 500k. It's still a piece of shite no one wants to be seen in.

Fans did not, for the most part give up. A few left, but most didn't quit on their team. Props for that.

Thats because they were stuck in their seats and could'nt leave.

Quite a few UT fans left early in the 4th, but not nearly as many as the last 3 times UA played up there.

Have you seen the parts that are renovated? They're very nice.

I also thought Sanford was one of the most bland, underwhelming stadiums experiences I've had.

The argument that the stadium is too old makes no sense. Anyone who thinks so should google their own stadium and learn something. Maybe even look at pictures of the stadium over it's past.

That said, their stadium does kinda suck but I've always enjoyed it and the crowd.

I love the Stadium. Right on the river down in that valley and huge.

I enjoyed my trip to Knoxville a couple of years ago. Seems like any other stadium

It's a hobby of Bammers to say Neyland sucks and complain about seat sizes. A few fans of other teams have heard it repeated so much they do it as well but it's a Bammer thang. If they ever stopped complaining about it - it would be weird.

That said, most everyone else either likes or loves their experience at Neyland. We still need to upgrade one of the concourses (the other has already been done) but all I ever hear from visitors is how much they love Neyland and the atmosphere it provides - the sole exception are a few SEC fans who repeat old stories. Hell, I've even heard some of them bitch about things that don't exist or had been changed years ago.

You can't fix the upper deck.

Neyland stadium looks like a garbage truck workers convention.

Go to Hell UT!

If you're in the nosebleeds you're too poor for us to care about.

In all seriousness, I don't have a clue as to what you're complaining about other than maybe steepness. But that steepness actually gives a better view than a lot of large stadiums because you're closer to the field.

Also, just because you put the stickers on the seats closer together, doesn't mean that your stadium is "bigger", just that you want fans to be more uncomfortable at the games and want to trot out the tagline of how many "seats" your stadium has.

They have been doing this for years to increase capacity.

This. Unlike, say Michigan, where you're a mile from the field.

It's actually the opposite, we've downgraded capacity, but Bammer spread myths die hard.
