This is where I am. Just need a place like this to vent.

And???… I think in your 90’s you got enough sand in the game to critique politicians… isn’t the whole MAGA slogan referring to your folks younger years..,
You really like question marks.

Which location were they on the political spectrum when you were a kid? Were they formally on the right side? I give people over 70 the benefit of the doubt no matter their beliefs. They grew up in a different time, and times always change.
I think this goes back to the fact the democrats from the 70s would be considered radical right wing today argument.
Pretty sure my parents have always been democrats but the party has moved further to the right and they are stuck in just being in the Democratic Party and agreeing with anything that party supports.

Haha! So edgy.

Hell it’s implied is it not???… you blessed to have parents in their 90’s still moving around good…yet you complaining about what side of a imaginary political line they fall on
Maybe I didn’t explain it very well. When I am with them I just want to talk about life, my children (their Grandchildren) and other non-political topics. They can’t help but eventually revert to talking about political BS in a very angry way.
I look forward to spending time with my dad tomorrow.

Thanks. This is pretty much what I am doing. So much of their lives revolve around politics and Trump that it is sometimes hard to charge the subject.
I just keep reminding myself that they are loving parents, are still healthy, and are in relatively in good health despite their age. I should be so lucky.

I know. I try. If they would just stop bringing up political BS every time we are together it would be much easier.
I’ll try my best to steer away from political discussion tomorrow on Father’s Day but I have a bad feeling that today’s rally will enter the conversations.

Trying real hard to put their political BS aside and just continue to love them but it’s getting harder and harder. I love them dearly and they were awesome parents but they are becoming such radical leftist that I am struggling. They listen to Maddow nightly.
I steer clear of political discussions when I am with them but they always eventually go there. I keep a neutral tone but it takes all that I can to just keep my mouth shut.
They are both in their 90s so I know they are not long for this world and I am thankful they are still with me. So I try not to rock the boat.
Just venting here so thanks for allowing me to rant.

Why are all refrigerator ice makers so terrible?

Or maybe I just suck at picking out refrigerators. My last 3 fridges have had issues after around a year or so.

I don’t get it. I’ll leave this thread to your girlfriend and you. Have a nice day.

Again, I really wanted to like this thread, but literally have no idea which post folks are replying to. Is it my job to connect the dots as to who responded to who for each reply?
