Funny you should say this because I've followed them for years and this feels different than what's come before.
Part of it is we have our best AD since Joe Castiglione. In some ways she's better than Joe in connecting with donors and students. She actually has us ahead of the curve on NIL. Part of it is Drinkwitz is the best recruiter we've had in at least 40 years and he's surrounded himself with good/great assistants. And for the first time in a long time Mizzou is beating ranked teams which is igniting the fan base and making Faurot a rocking place again. All that's left is changing more in-state talent's minds to stay in-state.
With the addition of old rivals next year, I think this could be dawn of a new day for Mizzou football. Not that we're going to be perrenial 10 game winners, but we're going to be and remain SEC level as a program and fan base. It has the potential to sustain this time.

Mizzou is a scrub program that teams measure failure against. And UTs struggles on the road under Huepel culminated in the failure at Mizzou.

Every fan base has their awful fans and you can usually find plenty of good interactions between the bad ones.
But Tennessee fans are massively delusional, top to bottom and side to side. It's like their brains permanently froze in 1998 and they think the rest of CFB trembles in fear of Tennessee.

Tenn is what Tenn is ...a good program who had one great qb last year and now Tenn fans think they are elite.
It's a combination of being in the SEC.....adding high quality coaching staff, recruiting bette at the HS levelr and also being very smart with NIL and the transfer portal.
