Remember when the A&M fans were all like, Mond is the next Heisman QB!

Yeah. me either. If you're just now picking up that Mond was a mediocre quarterback, your Football IQ is roughly the same as my shoe size.

You may have to explain what that trophy is to Aggie. He’s never seen one

don't concede this. The two years were not alike. All the calls they bitched about were actually correct. His knee was down. The line was in the wrong place. There was a second left on the clock. The fumble was close, but was upheld in real time review.

Meanwhile, the missed fumble in the punt return before the last drive was egregious and a clear missed call. The push off on the last TD was closer, but was probably an offensive PI.

A LOT of QBs get over drafted, often several rounds before they should. Mond’s stuff mechanics keep him from being consistent.

Most fans understand that Jimbo got as much production as he could get from Mond.

I wish him luck, he’s a good kid.

Every aggie I know insisted Mond would have a longer NFL career than Ehlinger. Sam is still on a roster. Kellen will be selling used cars soon in suburban San Antonio.

So Jimbo Fisher took a bad QB he inherited, won enough games to finish ranked 4th overall, and then got him drafted in the 3rd round. If that's not a recruiting pitch, I don't know what is.

"See what I did to get Mond to the league, just imagine where I can take you if you commit Mr. 5 Star QB."

Mond was a high four-star recruit, not like Fisher failed to develop some nobody.

Isn't it part of the coaching staffs job to fix his mechanics?

You’d actually be surprised - but they don’t do that very often anymore. College coaches work more on game plans and reading defenses.

The kids all hire private instructors at the HS level if they are overhauling their throwing motion or mechanics.

Mond was the 15th rated QB that year. He was the 7th QB drafted in 2021. Easy to make the argument Jimbo did a better job developing him than several others.

Lol - no. Just funny that LSU fans crap all over him and start threads about his failures and the kid had a winning record against them in his career.

This is pure gold and exactly what I thought one of you would say.

For being known as such a QB guru, Jimbo really sucks at coaching QBs.
