The Lane Kiffin phenomenon is a regional one consisting of two small southern states. The only place outside of Louisiana and Mississippi where it's a phenomenon is this god foresaken board.
For perspective, 5.8 million people watched Lane Kiffin's highly-anticipated debut, even though it was the only real game on television.

I dont think it will break it because it was a major brand in the north vs a major brand in the south. Big Ten vs SEC. But part of the reason why the Clemson LSU game didnt get better numbers is because of the two hour lightning delay and the game didn't start until 10:00 ET.

Shut up retard. We won by 3 tds and were a 13.5 favorite. It wasnt even close to being a game. Everyone was watching Texas come back from down 20 to beat the number 1 team. Why would anyone want to watch Tennessee kill a piss poor Georgia Tech team when you could watch a top 5 nailbiter?

We played against a team that lost week 1 to Colorado and we were directly competing with 2 top 5 teams. We will be fine. We have had plenty of problems through the years. It hasnt been our fans fault.

The only time viewers give a runny bowel movement about Navy is when we play Army. We know our place in the college football world. Now…the only time viewers give a runny bowel movement about Auburn is when the Tigers play Alabama and SOMETIMES Georgia. Glass houses and all of that! Just sayin’. Well this is the point. But if Tennessee had the following your fans think it does, it should have easily averaged above 2 million for a primetime game being played in the #1 CFB market in America for nominal viewership.
I was watching the Auburn game on SECN despite the fact it was a 37-point blowout... I don't care what other game was going on at the time. Most diehard fanbases do that. Apparently not Tennessee fans though as you claim, "Everyone was watching" some other game instead.
