Calling it now. Vandy gl hangs another banner this year. Just too much talent on the pitching staff for anyone to stop them. Commodores all the way. No way anyone else has a chance

All are separate tourneys
Regional is first test
Super Regional is another test
And Omaha is a different animal all together with the way that park plays

It's really three separate events you have to get ready for.
Anything can happen.

How many runs did they give up in their Game 3?

That’s not promising.

Vandy will definitely be a favorite if they make it - never bet against Corbin

You are higher on the Dores than I am. Unlike past teams this one doesn't do the little things needed to win consistently: defense, moving runners over, hitting behind runners, etc. In Omaha it's the team executing the little things that normally wins as that park is too big to win on homeruns alone.

We gave up eight runs to a team from New Jersey in the first game.

You clearly haven't seen our bullpen.

Took a few classes there many years ago. Eddie Stankey was still the coach and actually sat through a couple of games while there. Was working too, so didn't have the opportunity to watch many.

So funny. This is what Vandy fans have been saying about Arkansas.

Are you trying to jinx us. I don’t believe in that stuff. But I do believe our inconsistent bullpen can do us in unless they improve.

Nice try. This team is in the bottom half of Corbin’s best teams over the last 10 seasons. 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2019 were all better than this team.

Vandy's pitching after Lieter and Rocker is very sketchy. If they find themselves in the losrs bracket in Omaha, they're going to struggle. Hell, if either of those guys have a bad night in the super regionals, they will struggle to beat ECU

I would agree with the OP if Vandy hadn’t suffered season ending injuries to our two most reliable bullpen arms (Doolin & Holbrook). Our pen has good numbers and are clearly talented guys but there is NO ONE in there you can trust to get 3 outs in a high pressure situation. Just look at last night.

At this point I wouldn’t be sad to see Corbin run Christian Little (Fr who shutdown Ole Miss in the SEC tourney) out there in a spot like the 9th last night.

My FIL was the pitching coach for south during their good years. They’ve always been a tough program, especially during the 2000s.

Ad a lifelong jags baseball fan, here's hoping they can finally get to a super regional. They've been so close many times. I believe it was LSU that came back and beat us twice many years ago for a chance to get to the CWS.

It was. It was the 1997 national championship LSU team that USA had on the ropes. They were a really good program for a long time
