80 percent of this board can’t think outside of football lol. Of course the northern and west coast schools have huge amounts of wealth. “But muh football, Pawwwlll!”

Of course they don't.
This will in all likelihood be the third year in a row that a school outside the SEC will win the national title. There are realistically only about 6 - 7 teams right now who can win it all - Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia, Oregon, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, and maybe Alabama. That's 1.5 SEC teams who have any realistic shot to win the whole thing. Oklahoma? Your offense is offensive; you're out. Ole Miss? You have no staff and your defense was mediocre anyway. A&M? Maybe, but you haven't improved all that much over the course of this year. And Alabama has holes galore and will get beat by a more complete team.
Funny how that has happened when NIL became a lever that all programs could use and not when some bullshite backwater car dealership in Cullman, AL or Metairie, LA could fund a roster of top 100 players underneath the table.
There are 3, maybe 4, programs in the SEC that can truly compete economically with the top of the top of the top: Texas, A&M, Florida, and Georgia. LSU's promise to Kiffin of $25M or whatever it was going forward won't even put them in the top 5 NIL programs in America. Other schools have 5 or 10 Todd Graves (or Todd Graves times 10 or 100) on the rolodex. Most of the SEC is fricked in an open NIL world; they are just late to realize it.
