Maybe fun to revisit next Tuesday. GT sitting as a +3 dog currently. They had a full pad practice in the new dome yesterday. UT has a walk thru Sun. Neither team divulging QB starters.

Step up and give us your final score...

I got GT 30-28, jmo

I'm thinking Tennessee wins 34-24 or so.

Tennessee's top level talent level is really undersold otb imo. I understand the skepticism of the coaching staff, but I think Tennessee will win pretty easily.

Tennessee is in some trouble due to lack of quality depth at some positions this season but that shouldn't show up in game 1.

Paul Johnson is built for games like this. He has half the talent and 2x the brains of Lyle. Tech upsets Tennessee.

34-20 VOLS

Folks are going to be surprised at how much we've improved on defense

tRant will harp on about how GTECH isn't very good, 6-6 team, etc.

Didn't gt lose a key player?

Tn has had a lot of time to prep for gt which doesn't usually mean good things for gt.

Georgia Tech star Dedrick Mills was kicked off the team Friday, having violated athletic department rules in what was essentially a third strike for the dynamic but troubled running back.

Let's see...

GT without their top RB

Vols without Kirkland, Richmond and who knows how Butch will dive up QB snaps

I think Vols' D-line and secondary are solid, but LB corps scare me vs. option.

I just hope GT kicks it to Berry once or twice, cause that'll be an instant six or close to it.

We have the talent and should win, but we also have Butch Jones and Brady Hoke on the sidelines so who knows...

This is a terrible matchup for the Vols on injuries alone with the continuous cut blocks the D-Line will receive. This is a toss up to me. Yes, I believe the Vols have more talent on paper, but it's week one for both and who makes fewer mistakes is a guess for everybody. Having to make a guess, I will go with my team by a point (24 to 23).

This is the correct answer. Not saying the Vols will lose, but that cut blocking and that option game is tough to prepare for and you're lucky to escape these games without lower leg injury to your Dline.

UT is prepared and wins easily.

I agree that they may be a little worse for wear on Sunday. Hopefully, they will be back to full health for the next game.

Tennessee 27-20. Teams generally do well when given time to prepare for the GT offense. Tennessee should have a huge advantage with their OL vs GT DL and be able to power run all game. GT breaking in a new QB as well
