The appeal is there for an AD to come in and take an established program that is about to have a massive cash injection and take it to the next level. It's an exciting time in College Station.
y'all are just gonna do what you've done over the years; pay that money to the players. just think, if you get busted by the ncaa just once more, you will lead the country in ncaa infractions by your football program. order will be restored, so to speak.

I thought I heard A&M wants this shite done by tomorrow? Or will it be done by tomorrow and just announced next week?
A&M System BOR to meet Friday to authorize Dr. Loftin to negotiate with a new AD.

When the frick did I say anything that got you so bent out of shape besides the term "money whip"? You sound really insecure there, broski.
It's okay. I forgive you.

Can't go after, Saban. Coaching deals between A&M and Alabama never go in our favor.

From one of our writers on our rivals site. Not much coming out, except for as he mentions, from the A&M side. I wouldn't be surprised it does happen but I don't think its as sure fire as A&M makes it out to be.

First of all, I have nothing of much substance to report here yet - we're going to check in on this further as we can.
For those who have missed it, the rumor going around is that Texas A&M has one of the names for the vacant AD job as Eric Hyman.
Hyman's name has come up before for openings recently at Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee and has not left USC to this point. He just needs a few more years before he is vested in the SC retirement system. A&M may be able to offer more money (I've heard they may look in the 650K-700K range, while Hyman makes around half a million dollars a year in a contract that runs until 2015 at USC).
The smoke seems to be coming more from the A&M side here right now, but like I said, we will check. Hyman has a son and daughter who live in Fort Worth, Texas.
Given all that, it doesn't seem like a move that would make much sense especially given that some of the facility upgrades (video board, farmers market) that Hyman has been an integral part of at USC are about to come to fruition.
Like I said, a lot of this is opinion so we will do some checking. We may have more tomorrow or before then.

I think you're living in some kind false reality.

It has nothing to do with family. He's left Texas once.
It's all about green and promise that's driving this train.

The relevant question is no longer if but when Hyman is introduced as the next Aggie Athletic Director.

Yeah exactly why he noted about the other financially well-endowed programs who have also shown interest in Hyman in years past but he didn't go. And that was before his 75K raise.
And as he also mentioned he isn't far from getting into the SC retirement system.

Wow. Wasn't SCe chirping about running him off a couple of years ago?

Those were people who thought we could have a successful and growing athletic department without having to spend a dime to do it.
Did they want the new facilities? New score board? Competitive salaries to get the best coaches and staffs? Of course, but they'd be damned if any of it came out of their pocket.
At least thats the vibe I got from many Gamecock fans initially but now that its all coming into fruition most Gamecock fans have realized what a great AD he is.
