I feel badly for South Carolina (wish Hyman was coming from a school I didn't like). It sucks losing a coach/admin you really like. In addition to the salary bump, I'd bet the fact his family is still in Fort Worth is a pull for him. Undoubtedly he'll have very fond thoughts of his days at USC.
Sometimes better things come along when you're not looking for 'em. I have zero doubt the Gamecocks will find a top-notch AD.

Honestly, USCe was one of my more liked fanbases in the SEC so I kind of feel bad. At the same time, Hyman was an outstanding hire for us, so thats pretty neat.

Looks like he knows about as much as SC fans do. Except A&M fans seem to know a ton more than everyone and consider this done and over.

We just won a federal contract for vaccinces that is the largest grant in the State of Texas since NASA. A&M is about to do a massive rebuild of Kyle Field that will likely be in excess of $400 million.
None of that will win a game in the SEC or guarantees success but to act as if A&M is some little cow college is laughable. The top end potential of A&M is staggering. The appeal is there for an AD to come in and take an established program that is about to have a massive cash injection and take it to the next level. It's an exciting time in College Station.
But, but, but this is the SEC!!
This is a very exciting time for A&M.. Hopefully we can make something of it though, the potential is definitely there

Considering Hyman has told his staff, and has also tweeted about it, I'd say it's over.
Best of luck to USCe, I do hope you guys find a good one. Go look at Jurich, he was my 2nd choice. Obviously that matters none.
