Beating UT was a temporary butt plug for Billy. Gay & M sealed his fate

Seems like you left two rather important words out of your title, did you not?

So if I’m reading that correctly:

-Napier will be officially fired this weekend, win or lose
-Florida wants Napier to finish the season
-if he chooses not to finish the season, then they’ll promote an Interim

Sounds to me it’s up to Napier if he wants to finish the season or not

Pretty disrespectful to Napier to float this if it's true.

He makes $7.5M a year and about to collect another $21M from us. I'd take some hurt feelings for that kind of payday.

It's a race to see who can land James Franklin.

The guys who floated this got burned by Napier last year when Billy promised he would hire an OC. They then put a bunch of money into NIL based on that promise. Then he lied to them and ran his terrible offense out there again this year. Those guys hate him, understandably.

If Napier is allowed to finish the season after being fired Sunday it's worse than if he survived to GA and was just outright fired after that. He is probably the worst play caller in college football. We need to let someone else close the season out.

But he is very cleaver. You can only guess what type of play the Gator offense will run 90 percent of the time..now if it was 92 percent it would not be clever.

Yeah, I don't see this like a Zook. For all his faults, never doubted Zook's passion for UF or his players. Not to mention a much shorter tenure.

It's time to turn the page on Napier, when the call is made he needs to be gone.

Billy looks like Clay from Sons Of Anarchy….Mrs Metal pointed that out, and I declare she’s right on the money.

I saw that and was gonna post it. But, it just seemed ridiculous to leak that you are firing a coach after the upcoming game regardless of the outcome. If that's the case, why not just do it now?

What a terrible time to draw State for Billy. A close win could be spun as unacceptable and he gets Cutcliffe'd. A lose and he's definitely gone, no questions asked.

Let them cook.

I'm hoping this is going to be as messy as Dooley and Tennessee.

There's too many jobs open. This is not the year to hire a coach. The only place that did it in a calculated way was Arkansas. They pulled in Petrino to stand in while Pittman fell on his face. Now they are simply looking for someone that is better than Petrino. If they can't find anyone, they can fall back on Petrino.
