I think Saban is worth the top spot. Do you think Harbaugh is a top 3 coach? How about Malzahn at 5? I'm surprised Brian Kelly at ND only makes $2.1 million a year with no bonuses.

Harbaugh's salary just proves how pathetic Michigan has become.

Ed O proves you don't have to overpay to win.

Auburn forked up 6.7 mil/yr just so their coach wouldn't leave them for Arkansas

Lol @ Michigan, Nebraska, Texas, and Florida State

Jim Harbaugh is no doubt the most overrated coach in college football. Paying a shite ton of money to come in 3rd-4th every year in the Big 10.

Did you watch the Amazon Prime "All or Nothing" with Michigan?

If not, you should. You get a front row seat to how big of a fricking weirdo Harbaugh is

Jimbo's payout is $68 million ... that's almost unbelievable.

Compare Harbaugh's buyout with Fisher's buyout.

ETA: Hell, compare Fisher's buyout with ANYBODY else's buyout. The next highest one is $30 million less.

It's not so much of a buyout as it is he's fully guaranteed.

I'll for sure watch it soon. He seems like a nut case.

I love how they spend a frick ton of money for trips or whatever to other countries and they do absolutely nothing that'll help with football. He's never going to be a successful college coach.

Kirk Ferentz has a $22MM buyout. He must have the best agent in the world or has dirt on the entire Iowa administration. Guy has been the epitome of average outside a couple outlier years and has had as much or more job security than any coach on the planet.

Yeah. Some seem to not understand the difference. He simply doesn't have a buyout. Assuming aTm gets at least 6 years out of him, by that point there is a good chance that salary creep catches up and they didn't end up any worse off. And they got who they wanted. Only time will tell whether it pays off.

Not an attractive spot to hire. Sometimes you have to overcommit so as not to find yourself in UT territory last year.

I see, so that means A&M would have to pay him his full contract amount even if he's fired for cause?

$3,000,000 per year for an O line coach, who wasn't even a good O line coach.

I don't think the $0 buyout figure is correct. I believe that he has a buyout equal to the full price of his remaining contract, which is $6,000,000 at the end of this season.

Whoever negotiated this for Ole Miss should be fired and sued for malfeasance.
