Ah so you can cherry pick certain positions. Interdasting.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but we had 2 veteran edge players. They declared for the NFL, as everyone expected. Their backups are going to now be starters, as has happened in college football programs year over year for time and memorial.

Anyone who doubts the quality of talent and depth left at Alabama has been in a coma for the last what, 17 years? With a off season, a spring and a fall camp if the new staff is competent they will better than 90% of the country and could be elite still.

you worry about how your second year coach hemorrhaged his coaching staff seemingly overnight.

Not worried one bit. Freezus calling plays with Bama's WR talent is going to be fun to see.

Yeah.

Alabama isn't going to suck next year.

Absolute worst case, they're 8-4. Probably realistically a 9 or 10 win team in the regular season.

You can't lose what they're losing then just hurl a bunch of(summer) portal talent at the holes and win ten games. The best guys are gone already. Sure there are some good to solid pieces that will present themselves, but the chemistry will be off.

Not meaning to pile on to Tide fans, but on defense Dalcourt is showing as a GR, so he is done, isn't he? Or does he still have time left?

They've only lost 3 or 4 starters, off the top of my head.

LT - Proctor
WR - Bond
TE - Niblack ("starts" in certain pass sets)

S - Downs
CB - Amos

They've lost depth dude. Also consider the guys who are going to the league.

Dalcourt is done. He also was an OL.

Why would the SEC change a rule last minute that would help one team but hurt the other 15? No chance.

Maybe because the current rule benefits 15 teams and only hinders one. So not sure why it should not get changed.

They'll leave too, they're just waiting to see where the others are going and then go the opposite direction for the money.

How embarrassing is it going to be when LSU loses to this shell of a Bama squad next year?

Less embarassing than it was for Bama in 2022. The best roster in America lost to an LSU team with significantly less talent than Bama will have this year.

You're not wrong. The better team definitely lost that day.

It’s only Thursday. Give it a couple more weeks and see how many others run for the door

Other teams probably can’t

Bama has the largest stockpile of talent in the country, so if any roster can aborb the hits, it’s ours

Given we’ll be changing our offensive and defensive philosophy, and what DeBoer managed at Washington with a much, much less talented roster, it’s not at all unreasonable to think Bama could manage 9-10 wins next season (albeit some very close ones of course)
