His transgressions go back even further than his Hoover days. Dude was arrested during his time at Ashville HS in St Clair County back in the late 80's for trespassing onto a golf course. It seems he was scuba diving into the water hazards and fishing out golf balls, cleaning them up and then reselling them for some extra cash!!

Back when the AHSAA coaches meetings used to be held in Montgomery, our staff walks into the main hotel by the convention center where we were staying and there stands Rush Propst himself, with his crowd of minions at the bar. He is holding court and all of these young guys are hanging on every single word. Rush was eating it up!!

While Rush declined to be interviewed he did speak with our local radio guy off the air this morning. What was paraphrased was that this was just two guys talking anecdotally about football, he had no first hand proof of anything, just word of mouth stuff. He also added that this tape was highly edited and in fact you can tell it was from all the breaks in conversation. Keep being useful idiots if you want to though.
