It’s like Bear Bryant said “if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying” or...”it’s only cheating if you get caught”

I forget which one it is can one of you bammers clarify it for us?

None of his players at Colquitt signed with Bama and none signed with Kirby at UGA.

BUT they sure as heck signed with LSU,Auburn and Tennessee

Propst's most high-profile overall recruit might arguably be Chad Jackson, who played for Urban Meyer at Florida in 2005 and was selected by the Patriots.

Probably the most notable to sign with Alabama under Propst (partially) was Josh Chapman. He was part of the 2009 and 2011 teams that won national championships, and was drafted by the Colts.

More recent SEC players out of Hoover would be Marlon Humphrey (Alabama/Ravens), Jeremiah Moon (Florida), George Pickens (Georgia), Will Reichard (Alabama), and now Dylan Pauley (Vanderbilt), but those were under a different head coach.

You misremember. Coach Bryant actually said: "Going into death valley is like cheating.

Problem is high school coaches used to be the middlemen and had influence with these kids and got some under the table benefits
Not anymore
These kids are controlled by the 7 on 7 coaches

Coaches talk to each other. Players get paid and coaches talk. I've heard the same things about nearly every school in the SEC

Interviewing at Alabama felt like destiny. And his plan seemed to work. The interview stretched to three hours. Saban seemed impressed. On the drive home, Propst called his girlfriend. He nailed it, he told her. The dream would soon be a reality. A few minutes later, Saban called. Instead of a job offer, he had a question. About Propst's girlfriend. Propst, you see, was married to another woman with whom he had three children. Yet there were whispers he was living a double life. Two women. Two sets of kids. One football coach. Somehow, the rumors had spread all the way to the Alabama football office. Saban wanted to know: Was it true?

"I couldn't lie," Propst says now, some six years later. "I told him it was ... it was all true. I knew that was it."

He pauses.

"Man, that was tough as s---."

I love when SEC fans claim that recruits are going to their school because of the history. Poor kids from the country and city don’t give a shite about a schools history. They care about money and getting to the NFL and rightfully so.

So therefore Texas A&M should be taking in #1 classes every year along with Texas correct?

They got the most money don't they?

So it’s costing the dirty little cheaters Saban and Kirby around $3-$4 million per recruiting class.

UGA could out recruit many if not most sec schools with an Uber card. Atlanta is one of the last places that still care about hs football.
