I travelled throughout the southeast extensively for work and this is pretty spot on.

Quite honestly Florida is the ugliest state once you are couple of hundred yards away from the beach or removed from the water ways etc. Louisiana is not bad. MS gets a bad rap but we are beautiful state, just don’t have any National Park type areas (save the Natchez Trace which is gorgeous).
Each state has a lot of natural beauty and then some mundane areas too.

Louisiana looks like a shoe. It's a nice looking shape.
Georgia is mostly a rectangle, I'm not sure who would have any issues with how it looks.
Florida is a giant dong. Nobody wants to see that. Obviously the ugliest state.

Sorry, but it's Georgia. I am from Louisiana and have driven through or lived in all of the Southeastern states. Mountains, beaches, swamps. Ga has it all.
Even Atlanta is one of the most forested large cities in the US.

I grew up in SW Oklahoma. Even though I've lived in VA/NC for over 3 decades now, I still fully appreciate the trees.
That said, Texas has no shortage of butt ugly lands. As bland as SW Oklahoma may be, it has nothing on Lubbock.

I started pulling for OKC back in the KD, Westbrook, and Harden days before I had ever been there. Once I visited, I couldn’t believe how ugly that state was. A green pasture here and there (obviously irrigated) surrounded by miles and miles of TAN! The buildings, tan. The streets, tan. The dirt, tan. No distinguishing features. Just tan.
