Agree, because it's like Missourah (God's country) and NW r-kansas which are pristine.

Well that’s bizarre to be your age and not understand Florida has a ton of beauty.

People put way too much emphasis on mountains and oceans and whatnot... our land is beautiful because it's ours. If someone can't see the beauty of the Mississippi Delta or a Louisiana bayou, you just don't get it. We're a unique culture in this country, and one made even more unique by the fact that it still, by some miracle, actually exists. We all have beautiful landscapes in this conference and we should spend our time celebrating them

Hell! Have you ever been to Oklahoma?

Louisiana. It has Florida’s lack of geographic diversity but without beaches. There is no close second.

Sorry dude, your state is straight dusty a-hole...go home now you aren't welcome.

Louisiana has shortcomings but does it really lack geographic diversity next to Oklahoma? They are an sec state now
the answer is subjective but I would say Louisiana has a landscape a lot of southern states have plus unique attributes.

You asked the ugliest states. It makes Oklahoma very much a topic of discussion

Lol, someone from Oklahoma calling Kansas ugly is funny.
No dog in that fight but Oklahoma is nowhere near as ugly as Kansas

You could say either MS, LA, or AL. I think OK takes this title come July 1 though.

Imagine some dustbowl fricktard having the temerity to make this thread.

Louisiana has a lot of unique beauty. The bigger problem is many of the residents litter like no other and trash the place up.
Yes it really is a shame…we have so many dumpy interstates and highways. I could understand why we get such a bad rap

This has frick all to do with sports. WTF is going on with this board?

This thread coming from a Sooner?! Oklahoma has vast stretches of just butt-ugly territory. Maybe one nice corner as you are about to leave for Arkansas.

Southern Louisiana is horrible, but the northern part of the state looks like much of the rest of the southeast - one big stretch of piney woods.

Offseason. We can talk about how OU is going to beat that tigah arse in death valley this year instead if you want.

Yep,
The delta is flat and boring except for the fact that it raises crops that feed and cloth us. Without it the beautiful places would be naked, afraid and starving.
Be grateful for everything in this country, pretty or not, it belongs to all of us Americans.

This thread has brought back memories. I don’t know if any of y’all ever posted on the old CNN/SI board, but back in ‘99, we spent half an off season arguing about whether Oklahoma was Southern. When that played out, the focus switched to Kentucky!

Interestingly, my answer is Texas as both the most beatiful and the most ugly.
The NE, Central parts of the Lone Star State are scenic and have great towns, cities and natural beauty, whereas the SE, NW and West of the Pecos areas are some of the most barren, hot and ugly places I've seen.
Outside of Texas, parts of Georgia are just ghastly.
