Seems to be a lot of SEC fans in love with Ohio State here. The AP chose the Buckeyes in 1942. The majority of the selectors chose UGA. You should all recognize the bias against southern teams for decades in college football. Georgia has as much claim to 1942 as OSU. 1946 against Notre Dame as well. Those were some of Georgia's best teams ever. Heisman winner Frank Sinkwich and 1st pick in the NFL draft and Hall of Famer Charlie Trippi.

As much as I hate the mutts, historically this was never in doubt.

It's a worthy debate. Not sure anyone can conclusively place Georgia above LSU or vice versa.

What cannot really be questioned is that since the 21st century began, there has been clear separation of Alabama, LSU, and Georgia away from the other members of the Big 6.

One thing is certain, you guys better put Kirby Smart on a diet soon before he strokes out. I was shocked to see how big he has gotten.
However, LSU is more prestigious than UGA!

Almost any school is more prestigious than LSU. All you have to do is reference the first LSU response in this thread.

Lsu leads the head to head by an 18-14 margin. With 1 tie. OP is a douchebag.

Which two are not legit?
Remember, you're opening the door to a discussion about Alabama's legit vs bogus titles.

Like that matters to a bammer.....

How can anyone actually expect any fan to be able to defend all eleventy billion national championship claims?

That's pretty even stats. I know that Georgia 1942 title was retroactively claimed in the 1990s, so it doesn't count.

This is splitting hairs.

I swear some of you guys were short-changed when it comes to analytical skills.

Texas claims the 1970 national title even though Nebraska was the legit champion. So that doesn't count.

It didn't take the Texas administration 50 years to decide. They claimed it immediately in December 1970.

I respect UGA. I think they are about as even as you can be.

LSU should really claim 1908 - it is "recognized" by the NCAA.
