What if they lost the SECCG too?

Kirby would not let that happen. You know that

Georgia has steadily improved all season, ask Texas. Tech not so much, but it should be a competitive game. I expect Georgia to put it away in the fourth quarter, their specialty.

I watched parts of a couple of games on a Thursday or Friday and I thought they had some speedy players. Hard to compare Georgia with Tech given their competition vs ours in the SEC but I could see how this could be a competitive game.

GT missed there once a decade shot to beat UGA last year. They nearly embarrassed UGA…Kirby and company ain’t the type to take that kindly….Dawgs liable to beat the brakes off the jackets. Anyone who doesn’t recognize what’s transpired in Athens in the last couple of weeks is either blind or not familiar with sports in general and CFB specifically. UGA has moved into championship mode. Good teams do that. They may not win a natty but no one but Alabama wants to see this Georgia team the rest of the season.

OP is likely a fan who pulls for both, but more Tech when they are playing for something. Not as many of this type in Georgia as in Bama. I have run into several Bammer/Barners or Barner/Bammers. Even ran into a Bammer on a play that graduated from the Barn. Said he couldn't major in what he wanted at Bammer, but the Barn had his major.

If this was earlier in the season, I'd be concerned. The team as currently constituted? Nope. We're peaking and Tech's defense is rancid arse.

GT is a team that seems to play to the level of their competition so it wouldn't be a big surprise if they give GA a tough game.

Isn't it at the Benz? Will basically be a UGA home game is my gut feeling even though Tech is hosting.

There hasn’t been a Georgia-Georgia Tech game, regardless of venue, that wasn’t basically a UGA home game in well over a decade

Look, I worry about Tech simply for the "they are due" factor. But you can't have watched both teams and think Tech is better.

3 weeks ago I was scared to death of them. They are playing terrible D right now. Theymhave the best player in country IMO. Their lack of schedule makes me cautiously skeptical. Over under could be 85. I'd take over. QB run game is unreal. We need to control clock and score TD's like last night.

Tech almost lost to Boston College. They aren’t anything special.

That might be kirby's fault this year, they are no slouch.

UGA should ALWAYS roll GT. Look at the recruiting classes and payments. They aren’t comparable. For it to be even close UGA should be ashamed. You can say what you want about GT’s loss to NC State or the close game with BC but at least those teams recruit and spend within our neighborhood. UGA doesn’t.

Stockton is much better than Beck, and Georgia is a hell of a lot better than NC State.
