Look, I don't think the lineman was intentionally trying to injure Tuttle, but it was a bad block, should have been penalized, now let's move on.
What is this common sense type of post doing on the rant. GTFO

Sorry but I disagree. Was it a bitch block? Yep, and I think it was somewhat not needed. But if Sony cuts back, he doesn't make that block, the the guy is making the tackle.
Its ifs and buts man.....
With that said, I hate the guy got hurt, but like Chubb, it was how he landed, not the hit that hurt him. I think we can all agree that its Bad luck

This was a perfectly legal cut block, and it could have been far "dirtier" and still be legal. You can throw your body at the D lineman's knee and still be legal, he clearly blocked at hip level. For reference watch any play run by GT.
A chop block is a cut block when the lineman is already engaged in a block, 2 on 1. OP is full potato and needs to learn what he is talking about before posting.

I almost forgot how annoying it was for Vol fans to be under the delusion that they are relevant again.
Makes me hate it that much more that we lost to them.

Cut block should be made illegal IMO.
It's part of the game and should stay part of the game.....

While I do view diving at a defensive player’s knees as a dirty play, cut blocking is within the rules of football.
A good defensive lineman should be able to use his hands to push an OL down while he goes for the knees. Slap that ear hole in the helmet real hard a time or two and buzz fatboy's ear. Of course you little crybabies out there will tear your robes and lament that an illegal head slap but unless you've ever played in the trenches, you don't understand the trenches.

You should first learn the difference between a chop block and a cut block. Second, he hit him in the hip and yes every college oline coach in the country would teach him that.

We already have. He was going for a fumble.
Only Michel had the ball in his hands and never lost control of the ball. he never dropped the ball.

Explain to me how exactly was Shy Tuttle supposed to "push down the offensive lineman" when he was cut blocked from behind?
Do you think defensive linemen have arms growing out of their fricking asses?
ETA: and yes, I played the game, considerably longer and at a higher level than you.

Wasn't responding to the OP, but thanks again for keeping this pointless discussion alive.
