This is approaching State's coaching search media chaos. Silver lining, I'd say it worked out fairly well for us. Hope LSU gets a good one.

Unfortunate. I'm borderline terrified that we're gonna end up with Bianco. Woodward seems to want established guys.
Although after there was a report that we were willing to offer Corbin $3M+, I'm wondering if everything is a smokescreen at this point.

Sounds like we did and did from multiple sources. There are too many rumors and unknowns around him for the BOS to approve is contract I guess.

Based on all reports, it looks like Woodward needed BOS approval to offer KOS the deal. BOS may have balked and KOS, in turn, “walked away from the table,” pulling his name from consideration.
Is our BOS too involved in this process? Yes. Are we going to end up with a high floor, low ceiling hire as a result? Probably.

Why wouldn't you? He’s been one of the best coaches in baseball. You don’t accidentally win 11 SEC titles, make 7 trips to Omaha, and have a national championship.
