Assuming the LSU Board did actually reject Sully, I doubt it was because of his coaching abilities. There's a lot of Florida man stuff going on with Sully.

And guess what - we’re trying to go to Omaha for the record 37th time. That’d be the 37th time in 74 possible tournaments. Now I know that math is hard for you having an aggie education and all (shite, as evidenced by your OP, so is reading
), but that’s good for a CWS berth every other year. As it just so happens, this would be David Pierce’s 2nd time in 4 full seasons should we beat South Florida in the supers (you know - those things your pathetic program has only won 2 of ever?). So 2 out of 4 would also be once every other year. Seems like we got our guy that we want and a coach that is up to our standards. Seems like y’all’s standard is hoping to go once every 10 years and win a game in Omaha once every 30.
So I guess it just doesn’t matter who coaches at Texas. Because we’ll still be the gold standard. And I guess it doesn’t matter who coaches at A&M either. Because they’re still the pathetic loser that has never accomplished one single thing in the sport. But you will always be good for throwing some insane contract at someone, convince yourselves they’re the best in the game, only to realize their agent took you for a ride to give their client a soft retirement plan to a school that will spend money like the desperate little brother they are.
But at least y’all beat us in your World Series this year on a Tuesday!

How far down their list will they go? Much like Tennessee and LSU football who went with their 5th choice after getting rejected so many times.
Well at least LSU baseball got their first rejection out of the way. But if they get rejected 5 times like their football counterpart it will become embarrassing.
