How fun will the East be though with Kelly, Smart, and Gruden.

Haven't we had like 3 weeks since Mac was fired? Did it take us three weeks to decide we wanted Kelly?

Do you think you just hire a guy the next day?

This isn't how it works. UF probably vetted close to 20 guys, to get info on them and talk to back channels. Everyone from Mcdaniels to Norvell. You don't do half assed searches. You look at every option.

Have you ever worked for a big company? My Step dad works for Google, and before Facebook. His interviews took over a month of vetting. You think UF doesn't do the same?

I speak for Auburn, but Chip has never beaten Auburn (0-1) and Florida hasn't beaten Auburn in quite a while

If Tenn hires Gruden...it would be amazing.
Though honestly I think the Patterson talk is a better hire for UT. Guy is elite.

He will get farrrrrr better athletes on both sides of the ball at UF.

He’ll be a nightmare there if he hires a bunch of recruiters around him.

You have to think he honed his skills in the NFL too, like Saban did.

Chip took on Auburn's best team in 30 years, and with far less talent. Pretty sure he did quite well vs them.

LSU had real problems with Chip in 2011

Oregon had a freshman QB vs the best team LSU has had in...well maybe their history.

Yes. I'm sure that will resemble a Florida coached UF vs an O coached LSU in the next few years.

Good luck with that train of thought.

I think we didn't take 3 weeks for Mac or Muschamp maybe Stricklin is doing it a different way, but it usually doesn't take 3 weeks to hire a football coach, especially one as obvious as Chip if he wants the job. I'm not sure what you could possibly be vetting for so long. That's just my opinion though, I have been wrong many times before.

One of the worst quarterbacks in LSU history, Jordan Jefferson, hung 40 on Chip Kelly's Oregon Ducks and won with ease in Dallas several years ago. Let that sink in a bit before you get too excited about it.

What is chip Kelly's record against the sec.I know Lsu flat out skull dragged his top five ranked team in 2011.
But curious what that is.
And no no one in the sec is shitting their pants. He is a pac 12 side show act..

Why does this matter. He was doing that without sec recruits. Let him have some fla talent and see what he does against lsu. I hate fla, but hell im not gone shite on them hiring a great coach.. especially if mine were yaw yaw

Side show act that did better in the NFL than both Saban and Spurrier. LSU faced Oregon with Oregon having a rookie QB, vs LSU's best team ever. Kind of not a fair idea of how he will do in the SEC. Considering at Oregon, he didn't have Florida level talent. Better view is him vs Newton and Auburn. Played an incredible National title game.

Or him beating the tar out of Jameis and FSU. Another fair view of how good Chip is. Despite much less talent.

Kelly vs O. I like our chances.

He probably won’t turn into Saban 2.0, but I also don’t think he’ll lose by 29 to Missouri so that’s good.
