I hear what you are saying SOG, but:

Bottom 7 is a bit of a reach.

Top half 8
Bottom half 8

To include Mississippi State in the bottom half is appropriate. It’s only 1 game separation.

Auburn got Georgia twice
Bama got State twice.

It’s basically the same schedule.

We play each other twice and UT/UF play twice. That is fair as well.

Bama just had a very easy front end and should have been undefeated coming into the Auburn game.

Not an ideal matchup for the Dogs.

Oh yea, it's not some massive difference given the strength of the league (especially between say Alabama and Auburn). We gave away our shot at the league by losing at home to Ole Miss. You can't have a night where you just don't show up like that and win a league this good.

Florida and Mizzou definitely got a favorable nod, though. Florida got Carolina/Georgia for 4 games and Missouri doesn't play any of the Top 25 teams 2x. But it isn't absurd or anything.

I'm glad we have another night of rest. Butler and Robinson are practing some, so maybe they will be back for some game time tomorrow night. I hope so, we are going to need them. Glad to sit tonight out.

I'm quite sure that this is the hardest schedule both Auburn and Alabama have ever had. I know it's Auburn's hardest.

He isn't quite ready physically (and has just some limits to his athleticism) but I thought Perry showed some good stuff against us Saturday. He's definitely got some limitations, but he looks like a guy that will be a solid 4 year roster player. That's pretty valuable these days.

Overall it's probably the toughest we've ever had because of how good and deep the SEC is. We've had some absurd OOC schedules that were probably a bit more difficult (or at least equal) the last few years, but the SEC schedule puts it over the top.

I think Perry, Noah, and Chandler will all be solid contributers next year. Pope needs a 3 guard lineup for his offense, and he's going to have options for this next year for sure.

Playing good teams twice makes for a hard schedule, but so does playing good teams on the road. Florida got only road games with Auburn and Alabama. No return trip to Gainesville. There really isn't any easy road through the conference this year. Mizzou had to go to Auburn and Florida with no return trips. Auburn avoided going to Florida, Tennessee and Missouri.

Alabama only avoided going to Florida. They played at Auburn, at Tennessee, at Missouri, at A&M, at Kentucky, at Arkansas, at State.

Yeah including the non-con, y'alls (Auburn & Bama) schedules are ridiculous.

It's been the silver lining of our injury situation. Noah and Chandler have also shown some improvement, all are getting quality minutes.

You're absolutely right, finding a player that wants to stick around for 3-4 years and not transfer has become the unicorn of college BB.

I found out today that Torvik has Asa Newell as the 2nd most valuable player in the SEC

It’s a good thing we didn’t waste him, right?

If there is a sliver of optimism, it’s in the fact that Bama shot 15-31 from 3 AND out rebounded State in Starkville and still only won by 4. If State doesn’t miss an open lay in with 30 seconds left, they lead by 1 with the shot clock off and it comes down to getting one stop on Bama’s last possession. Hubbard and Murphy were the only two guys who showed up for that game, need the supporting cast to play well and hope that Bama isn’t red hot from 3 again.

It’s not a good match up for State, I’ll agree there. The most likely result is probably Bama by double digits. I do think there is a path to State winning if they can hit open shots and force turnovers.

Can't be right.

UGA lost by a bucket to Auburn in Athens. They absolutely can beat us. Can't take any road game for granted (we really should've lost to SCar).

Georgia has fallen off a mountain since then and Auburn didn't have Broome in that game.

Very limited practice. Not going through scrimmages or contact. I doubt we see Robinson before the SEC tournament and Butler before Auburn.

Y'all just played Auburn tough at their place on Saturday. It was a 6 point game with like 1 minute to go. And Broome score 31 points.

Florida by 20+. I don't care how desperate Georgia is. They can't make up the talent deficit. And they'll turn it over plenty against Florida just like they did against Missouri, which got a lot of fast break points against the Dawgs.

We are arguably more talented than Florida, not that it matters
