When did he get hit?

Schefter tweeted out this play when Tua's head slammed on the turf again.

My brother has had two concussions this year. Hit his head on the bottom of pool and then again two months later falling backwards.
He has and is having major issues. They are not to be messed with.

In my personal opinion, going back to college, before the injuries started stacking up, Tua was one of the most accurate qbs I had seen, with a decent, if not powerful arm.

I don’t think he has or will ever fully recover from the hip injury and doesn’t seem to have the arm strength he once had. Another thing, I read in a short article or maybe a tweet, that I agree with, is that he isn’t very good at getting tackled. He always hits the ground hard or in an awkward position. Im not sure if it’s a flexibility thing or just a skill he never learned.

Anyway, it might be best if one of my favorite QBs decided to retire as soon as possible and seek another path.

It seems like a weird thing to be good at. But, I remember watching Warrick Dunn in high school and all the way up through the NFL. He hardly ever seemed to take a big hit.

The offense failed to score again after this hit and it was humming along. Sucks for Tua, some guys just have shite luck with injuries.

I hate it for him. He's such a good player and he obviously wants to play football, but I'm not so sure his body is going to endure the punishment.

I hate it for him as well. He’s definitely a competitor but it feels like his time left in the league is limited.

His decision-making seemed completely off. My wife and I sat here scratching our heads realizing something was missing.

I really would hate to have what I love to do get sidelined by injury. It’s sad. Very, very sad.

BTW, I saw a few post here yesterday during my brief time on -there are some questionable human beings on this board at times. I didn’t comment and just chalked it up to someone just being miserable during Christmas.

Nothing but respect for how he’s handled everything. He’s a selfless teammate and a warrior. That said, this is the time for him to start prioritizing life after football.

This is not me being an Auburn hater - dude needs to get out of football for his own health ASAP.

I agree. He won't though. He is a competitor. It's fun watching him play. He just isn't a big guy and that is a grown man sport. Concussions come easier the more you get. He needs to step away from football and get into sports media. He is intelligent. ESPN would hire him in a second.

This place certainly has no shortage of douches, so the thread thus far has been a nice change of pace.

With about 3 exceptions, I agree.

Of all the Rant’s sins, the worst is how we pull against the players from other schools in the NFL. F that. I like people and want them to succeed. Especially great people like Tua/ Burrow/Mac / Jefferson/ Smith etc.

Regardless of opinions about his ability, Tua is a likeable person. Only a douche would not have sympathy for him.

Agreed, Tua IS likable. so ..... unusually high level of Christmas cheer has washed over the land and softened the hearts of the user community here.

Because a person being likable has never meant much here before.
