It's actually not the first time that year either.
Gus also stopped running it down our throats. Maybe the OC saw something in the defense? I wonder about that.

I think it more likely than not, unless he bolts to the NFL soon. Baw is stacking an incredible amount of talent, and I feel extremely fortunate to have escaped our last 2 meetings with a W.

Or just a really shitty easy schedule in a weak division.
What was the cross division record last year?

I saw an article with Orgeron that LSU was getting gashed by us up the middle so the DC moved the nose over a gap (or something similar) and it totally changed our approach and how we attacked. Chaney, for whatever reason, didn't adjust to that or see it, but yeah we completely abandoned the run. Glad he is gone.

False- he will just be another Mark Richt .
This is his year to do it or the odds are against him . Most championships are won by coaches who win them in their first 4 years at a program. Dabo is the only one to beat those odds recently and he took over a program that was not even close to what Kirby walked into at Georgia.

which I don't see kirby ever doing. For one, he's coached in the NFL with saban so he has gotten a taste of that world, it's not like it's an unknown fantasy to him. He's a Georgia boy thorugh and through that was born and raised here, went to school here, and whose family is here. Plus, he just doesn't seem like an NFL kind of guy. I honestly can't imagine any scenario at all with kirby leaving UGA to coach anywhere else. IMO his tenure will be like richt's where he's basically here until he either retires or a long, long way down the line he just doesn't have it anymore and is let go.

Yeah I wasnt bashing Smart, simply pointing out that the South Carolinas and Kentuckys tend to fall over when compared To UGA.
UGA obviously rebounded but sometimes taking one on the chin helps.

Saban, Dabo, and Urban all took longer than 4 years of coaching to win their first championship... I remember when Florida fans said he was another Muschamp, then he won the SEC and a playoff game and went to the natty. Which year did Richt go to the natty again?

If the past 2 years are any indication, you have to like his chances over the long haul.

Wait, when did Saban announced his retirement??

I get that. I just think people way overlook the fact that this is his first ever coaching gig and he's only in year 4 doing it. He's also had the misfortune of going up against the greatest coach and greatest dynasty in the history of cfb.
Pretend saban retired in 2015 and kirby has at least 1 natty already with a potential for another.

Smart has hung with Bama in both of their games. IMO Clemson would be a much more difficult game as long as Trevor Lawrence is there. With how bad the ACC is they are essentially a lock to return to the playoffs.

I mean, anyone who watched the games could see they were close. Bama has a ton of trolls because they have a ton of bandwagon fans, which isn't surprising given their success. People who act like Kirby hasn't been successful so far are either trolling or ignorant.

This is geogias year IMO. I put 250$ on them winning the natty already.
