False. He would not have won a national championship with Vandy.

But Auburn posters here tell us that Cam was better than Joe because Auburn had no talent.

No Auburn fan claims we had no talent. We had plenty.

But we didn’t have a roster of all star NFL talent like Burrow did.

Not only that but Burrow was average at best in 2018. Cam never struggled like that.

I do not see a loss on LSU's 2010 schedule if Cam is the starter.

False. He was in an offense that allowed him to be great. If he was at LSU with Les, he wouldn't have been as good.

Come on man, he was a great QB and good for your school but be honest man. He had a great second year but his 1st year at LSU was average at best and even LSU fans will admit to that.

Cam, Vince, and Tebow could have won a title with any major program.

So?

What SEC QB, at his very best, was better than Burrow at his best?

So, you think Joe B would have won the 2010 championship at AU?

Mississippi State says $150,000 ain't $180,000.

2 great receivers. RB is having an okay career. TE has probably never been on an active roster. I think all 5 starters on the line got drafted, but only 1 in the first 3 rounds. 1 already washed out of the NFL.

Absolutely, and he would have scored more.

2010 State team was loaded with talent especially on the defensive side. Put Cam at QB and that 9-4 team (that demolished Michigan 52-14 in the Gator Bowl) wins 11-12 games and very possibly a Natty.

People like to criticize Coach Croom but the 2010 team was his recruits. Had everything but an elite QB. Relf was an athlete playing QB. Cam, in baseball terms, was a five tool player.

So yes, I think State could have very well won it with him at the helm.

False. AU had some playmakers on D (Fairley, Bynes) and underrated or overshadowed pieces on O (Dyer, Darvin Adams, McCalebb, Lutzie), and most importantly an experienced O line. The D gave gave up lots of yards but made huge plays when needed most.

I believe Cam Newton at his best was comparable to Joe Burrow. Burrow has a lot more weapons to work with than Newton but both were great QBs. I'm not disparaging any of those guys for what they accomplished.

There’s not a person on here that dislikes that arrogant, cheating sob more than me. But I will give the devil his due. If I’m not mistaken, only 7 other players were drafted off that team, and the only other 2 offensive players were linemen. That team was a complete 2 man show; Newton on offense and Fairley on defense. And yes, we all know the sleaziness that went on with Cam. Auburn didn’t spend millions of dollars keeping him eligible because he was squeaky clean. Dirty as all get out, but a great player.
