There are a ton of players that would be better off financially getting yearly college Nil checks for 10 years than enter NFL draft.
But is that what should happen?

Yeah because every parent wants to see their 18yr old son playing football against men that are damn near 30yrs old.

What a weirdo. Why would guys this age even want to be in college? They still hanging out at high school parties too?

5 million dollars, dude.

i’m more concerned they are going to challenge the idea of eligibility limits general and just blow up college football.
if they aren’t bed the NCAA gets a copy do that petition first and may just grant the waiver.
Mars is going to destroy college football

From all I’ve read, Chambliss has played 2.5 seasons of college ball.

Honestly if we wait until the Vols try it to stop, that would be fine

Dude gonna have grandkids and still playing QB in Oxford.

quote:$5million/yr on a college campus goes a long way man. Who wouldn't want to relive their college years AND have $5million in the bank to party?

College football is in great shape when a black man is fighting this hard to stay in Mississippi over the NFL

Ole Miss is trying to ruin college football so they can win a few games.
Sad.

Does any Ole Miss fan think that, on the merits, Chambliss deserves a 6th year? Do they think he was really injured and missed a season due to tonsilitis? Or are they just hoping for a favorable ruling from a hometown judge?

Correct, if eligibility is extended for all Juco years and non RS years you are going to have players challenging that very soon. I get Ole Miss and Chambliss doing it but this may be pretty bad moving forward

When does TC have to declare for the draft? Is there not a possibility where he misses that date and then loses this suit, and has no place to play next year? I'm sure I am missing something...

Dumb move IMO. Dude is hot right now. He needs to strike now and go into the draft. He will be a first rounder

Yes. TJ Finley and Max Johnson are going for 7. Chambliss hasn’t even played for 3.

He would also make significantly more money here than he would for the first year or two in the Pros unless he went top 10(
But if he returned to college for one more year, the trade-off is he would be finishing his rookie contract one year later, and theoretically lose one year of post-initial contract NFL salary. If he does reasonably well in the NFL that missing year of salary will dwarf any NIL money he receives from that one more year of college

This is the law of the land. Where were all of you when Pavia sued to get an extra year?
