I don’t think that’s driving this. It’s just Wall Street being Wall Street. I mean look at all the AI plays taking hits that are even bigger and nothing has changed strategically. Cap ex is still growing by the hyper scalers. China crap memory or chips is not why companies like a NBIS is going to crash too. It’s all Wall Street games.

I know Marshall louque personally and was really hoping he’d find his way to campus. But I don’t see how. I would think lsu is going to tell him go ahead and get some pitching in post TJ at LSUE and see if he is going to be a pitcher or hitter. Kid will end up somewhere post LSUE

Sure it isn’t. But I love where we are. We probably can’t even take all these guys number wise. At the end of it all this will be a great haul.
I told you boys. After round 15 this class was coming together. If not these boys would have been done already. We might lose Murphy. This haul is insane. This is why you don’t avoid taking studs.
This is going to be a great haul. As Washington showed, the odds are more in our favor that these 16th plus rounders are coming here unless something has to make numbers work. One or 2 being lost to money is not an L for this weekend.
Are some of the people in here assuming that only high school players have leverage to get their money?

Our guys were going to start going guys. They are not all signing.
Overall from here on out things should be great for this class even if you lose say 3 kids after this we made a haul. And that’s probably worst case scenario. These kids didn’t fall here because they were soft on their numbers and teams could not have gotten them a big number at least a few rounds earlier. They just have to take fliers over random joes. They might even get guys to be talked into going juco for a year and still have their rights and sing them before next years draft.

Eventually guys are going to start getting taken as flyers if they are seen as too talented just in case teams find extra money to throw at them at the end of the process. So we cannot lose our minds if guys start going in the last 2-3 rounds. Hell Jay may even have to start telling guys we do not have room at this point with only 6 guys off the board.
Very low percentage of HS players have been going after the 11th round.
Cam better take his money because between two natty winning programs, no one has been able to teach him how to throw a strike.

Got to look at also, that at the end of the day, some kids really do not want to go to school. But them and their advisors know the value of LSU and SEC power schools as leverage, especially in the NIL era. They are not going to value the college experience like us fans would, especially with life experience where we know say $500K pre tax is not changing your life so much that you can never get that experience back over being a much different life in the minors.

All these picks from here forward can get $150K to start and then have money added from money not spent from the total money not spent in the first 10 rounds total pool. You can bet an 11th round pick is signing. There is a reason there is a pause in the draft here.

Yea the next 3 rounds minimum are going to be the money rounds. This 10th round is not all penny signing players for no reason.
