It's very cut and dry why his case was denied. Good luck with that.
Also he's going to miss valuable draft prep time while this plays out.

I did a quick read of the Clarion Liar article of it and they didn’t mention a case where Mars has lost.

The first domino falling in the courts ruling that the NCAA cant limit players earning potential with arbitrary eligibility rules.
We will see a career college QB in our lifetime.
If they are enrolled, and a team wants them, why shouldn’t they be able to play? The courts will rule they can.

Tom Mars was General Counsel for WalMart.
He’s about as heavy a hitter as there is down here

I'm not saying it's impossible that they find some way to weasel out something in a friendly court system, just that under the NCAA rules in place his case is complete trash.

There’s zero chance they’re not judge shopping this one.

If he wins you lose Deuce. Deuce wants to be the starter, not the backup.

7th.
Covid year, regular RS, medical RS
So a 7th year with a medical while they deny a 6th with a medical.
There's no rules or guidelines around what qualifies as a medical year and what doesn't. NCAA makes arbitrary decisions with no set rules or policy, and no way to challenge such decision.
I'll be the first to say college eligibility should be 5 years. No exceptions. No medical. No RS. 5 to play 5.
But that's not where we are.

He's already said he's fine to sit a year. Just a Mississippi kid wanting to be home, even if it means waiting a year.

But you don’t have a medical. It’s pretty cut and dry to everyone outside of the Ole Miss bubble.

Says who? What qualifies as a medical year isn't set anywhere. The NCAA just "decides" what qualifies as severe enough and what doesn't.

Probably easier in Kim's case because he was the starter, got "injured", then didn't play anymore.
IIRC, Chambliss was just a backup but claimed a sore throat kept him from playing.

I admire your commitment to the bit.

Precedent.
There's no precedent. Injunctions and yet-to-be-decided cases aren't precedents.

What is their reasoning for why he should be awarded another year?
They don't have one. OM is just throwing shite against the wall hoping something sticks.

Kim was playing poorly and was sat the last 7 weeks of the season with an "unspecified injury". The reality was he was benched.

Everything I've read so far seems to agree that there is no actual precedent for a player in his position receiving a waiver
Chambliss has only played 3 seasons.
In 2022 he played 2 games and is claiming medical issues that prevented him from playing that season. 2026 would be Chambliss 4th year of play.
The injunction will stop the NCAA from blocking Chambliss from playing in 2026.
There’s absolutely nothing you can do about it
