This will not work! NFL teams are all equal with draft and spend just no more than the total amount for each team. How is that going to work in college football? Division is best way. No other way to have pods due to huge disadvantage and huge advantage.

Not going to happen by the SEC HQ, because in the last 15 years each of those teams has won a NC. The best way to decide a equitable schedule is to weigh each team and give it a number based on success since the last expansion.
In-state rivals are automatic, then the next game would be weighted against the first game and at the opposite end of the spectrum. The third game would split the difference.

How does operating with divisions level out disadvantages?

Geographically
A&M is closer to Baton Rouge than Norman as the crow flies.
The drive to BR ends up being slightly longer mileage wise because you have to dip down through Houston to pick up I-10 if you want to make decent time.

I'll add the massive overlap of A&M and LSU alums in the Houston metro and along the Gulf Coast is also a major compelling factor to keep A&M matched up with LSU over Oklahoma. Houston, the Gulf Coast, and the O&G industry are all filled with Ags and Tigahs. We couldn't escape one another if we tried. May as well play the game and embrace it.

Great work. But as a Florida fan there are multiple teams we would rather play yearly than South Carolina
LSU obviously. But also Kentucky and Tennessee

Yeah most SC fans don't particularly care for the UF matchup either and would rather play other SEC teams.

I’d think SC would want UGA, TN, & KY

The majority definitely want UGA. I actually really enjoy the KY matchup too so that would be a good second team. I'm honestly fine with anyone for the 3rd matchup. Tennessee/Vanderbilt/whoever.

I know you had to stick them somewhere, but I don't think the OU/MSU matchup is right. Especially since MSU already has Bama. I believe Kentucky/MSU is considered somewhat of a rivalry, so if there's a way to rearrange that, I think you've nailed it.
Probably the only way to do it would be to sub MSU for Vandy in Kentucky's 3 permanents, then put OU as one of Vandy's. But then, OU/Vandy makes no sense either.

If it comes down to that it’s between LSU and Auburn. Man I’d live to keep the Florida game
I’d prefer UGA, LSU and Auburn. The Tennessee was a good game through the early 2000s but it doesn’t have a ton of history outside the 90’s. Willing to drop it for other series.

These are well thought out. Nice work.

Great job OP - those look pretty good.
I will add that a supposed "insider" posted recently on one of our boards that the 4 teams Mizzou submitted to the league office for our preferences were: Oklahoma, South Carolina, Florida and Kentucky. I would definitely be ok with either those or yours.

LOL at thinking that has anything to do with this whatsoever.

Arkansas vs Ole Miss is probably our best and most heated rivalry in the SEC. Over A&M at this point. Once Texas joins it would most certainly be them. Going with three rivals is going to be tough to work out because, as you addressed, some teams are going to stuck playing folks that they have nothing in common with.

Thats brutal on Auburn. Take out Florida.
Too easy on LSU. Give them Florida and give Ole Miss to Auburn
WAY TOO EASY on Tennessee.
You start out with the proposition that all the Big Six teams should have two, and only two, Big Six teams in their pod.
