He may better than Mac and he is certainly a better athlete. Mac does have a lot of talent around him. I think there is an argument here.

Viceman, have you lost your mind? Mac Jones is the most pro-ready QB in this year's class of NFL eligible prospects according to PFF. NO, I don't think he'll go ahead of T.L. or J.F. but 3rd QB taken in the 1rst Rd is a real possibility. Trask has a 3rd to 5th round grade.. here's your sign!

I am entertaining op's opinion with an open mind. Trask numbers are pretty good and it is an interesting comparison. I never said I would trade Mac for anybody else, because I wouldn't. Just chill bro.

I see. To be honest I haven't watched him much. I am learning a lot more about him through this thread and am very impressed.

I think the LSU game last year was the turning point for a lot of non-Gators and even some Gators. He played a great game. Before that most opposing fans thought he was just a lucky scrub.

Also, idk why this turned into a Mac Jones vs Trask thread but Jones is obviously impressive too.

Trask has been remarkable. He is slow as molasses and doesn’t have the strongest arm, but the guy is a winner. Not saying he is better than Jones, who is also have a great season, but Trask doesn’t get the benefit of the Bama OL or running game to keep the defenses honest.

Trask, Pitts and Toney are all superior. How will Cousin Eddie manage to lose to a 4th string walk-on midget QB? It doesn't seem possible.

He has no excuses to lose this year. Just like there were no excuses last year.

Last years loss to UGA was a disgrace.

If u say so Mac has 5* everywhere still 2 TD passes behind Trask

Mac's played the #1, #2 and #4 defenses in the SEC to go along with #14, #9 and #7.

Trask has played #4, #7, #8 and #14

Also, in the Tennessee game Alabama would end up close to the end zone and simply run the ball in. So no passing TDs; just getting to see 5 TDs scored on the ground.

It simply sounds like Florida doesn't have a running game worth a damn. I guess that's Mac's fault too, huh?

We actually average 4.8 yards per carry, more than Alabama (4.7) and #27 in the country.

Our rushing game is not bad this year (not saying it's better than Bama's).

Mullen has just fallen in love with our passing game due to our outside weapons and Trask so we pass it way more.

A program that finished in the top 8 is middling? Ok. With 2 NY6 bowl wins.

He is an Auburn fan, and he wants to call Florida a middling program?

I wouldn't pay too much attention to him, either.

I would rather have a QB with all the intangibles (Trask) than one with a canon for an arm, but nothing seems to go his way.

So disgraceful to lose to a top 5 team? C'mon man.

Georgia's defense has given up 10, 6, 14, 41 and 3.

Florida's offense is nowhere near Bama's at any position other than TE. So it isn't hard at all to see how Georgia can win this game. Florida is the underdog for a reason and lots of Gator fans are setting themselves up for disappointment thinking we should win.

I don't think anybody is disputing Trask's talent. Are they?

PFF legitimately hates him. They loved Baker and hated Hebert though so maybe that’s a good thing.

He was bad. never should have been on the field for Florida last year.

There are a ton of examples of players with all the skills that flop, and lots of examples of players nobody thought would make it that did well.

Trask is an excellent QB. If we had him I wouldn't be nearly as worried about our game with you this year.

Honestly? Florida SHOULD win this year. Hard to say if you will, but you should. Funny things happen at the WLOCP, though, so we'll see.

Trask is killing it. As much as I hate the gators collectively , I’d like to see them smash Georgia and see what they can do against the tide in Atlanta. Nobody wants to see Georgia get another shot at them. We all know they can’t beat them.

We've come closer than anybody else has without actually beating them.
