Chris Marshall, arse as Arkansas has been, he actually seems pretty legit.

Not that Sayin is bad or anything, but I think I'm pretty happy with our QB and wouldn't want to trade back.
Sayin is a ho and super overrated. I think my 103 year old grandmother could throw to Smith.
He is a solid college QB, but he isn't going to be good in the NFL.
Russell is leaps and bounds better than Sayin and it frankly isn't close.

Hated to lose Caden Lee. Ultimate clutch.

Nic Anderson doing pretty well at Kentucky too.
Kyler Murray A&M and Jalen Hurts Bama turned out alright at OU.

CJ Baxter, Texas--->Kentucky
Many others transferred out of Texas, but 2nd string and minor contributions. Parker Livingstone and Quintrevion Wisner for examples.
Texas did get some good X-fers, Cam Coleman, Hollywood Smothers, and Raleek Brown.
About Cam...His development was stunted by going to Auburn. Texas has been having to teach him a lot of fundamentals even to the point of getting off the line without harassment. He's trying hard to get better fundamentally for the draft. Certainly has the talent, but needs football IQ improvement big time.

the PSU guys that came with Knowles have been pretty damn solid so far for us. Gilliam has been a monster at DT and Lane and Lee have been pretty damn solid on the back end. Metcalf showed out last week given the opportunity b/c of injury in front of him. Qua Moss was hurt last week but had the punt return v TX and has played well. Gordon has flashed some at RB, but has been banged up recently.

Lance Heard is playing well for UK
Your thread title suggests you're talking about top transfers that left SEC schools and went outside the SEC. Heard left LSU for TN, then left TN for UK.

He just threw for 300 and 4 TDs on saturday.

Sophmore QB Cutter Boley transferred from UK to Arizona State, he is their QB1, Stein went after Leavitt and Minchey and I assume Boley was being recruited over, he's having a great season so far at ASU

Isaih Horton - Cursed with Marcel Reed
This dude had no real reason to leave Bama, given he was such a big part of the offense last year. I wish guys well when they leave, but I also don't have to feel bad when it doesn't work out.
It was a similar story with Isaiah Bond going to Texas despite being WR1, and then tanking his draft stock. I guess if Isaiah is your first name and you're on the Bama roster,, just stick around.

I didn't count him as a transfer, because he had been kicked off the LSU team for criminal activity.
Articles I read say he was suspended while the charges were pending but not actually kicked off the team. LSU entered him into the portal.

As an Ohioan, I’d agree that he’s never going to be a Pro QB. But he’s done all right running the offense. Still doesn’t use his legs to gain extra yards nearly enough.

CJ Baxter, a running back that transferred from Texas to Kentucky, is putting up solid if not spectacular numbers. He contributed heavily to the KY win over Texas A&M.
