$50K anywhere in Alabama is better than $95K in Nashville.

I think this doesn't have much to do with the quality of the school itself. More just the quality of the average student attending

Auburn killed their Journalism classes in 2006. No politics or Political Science has graced our Campus since then as a result.

Too much race issues, politics and people trying to target our University for other "larger" issues that don't involve our University for a News Story.

Auburn is a University that does its job to reward actual graduates in a fair manner for their higher Degree.

Now do graduate degrees and factor in cost of living for state or area of residence.

The extra 2k at LSU is to compensate for the rising cost of corn dogs and Boudreaux's Butt Paste.

Here is the actual top 10.
While Texas,Florida are very good schools along the engineering schools at Auburn, they don't make more than MIT and Princeton grads.

Nah. They make about the same. Alabama is a much larger school so Auburn's engineering students make up a greater number of the total enrollment at AU, as both engineering schools have about 5,000 undergrads.

In Missouri the best engineering students don't go to Mizzou, they go to Missouri S&T (Rolla) or out of state.

I doubt these figures are even close to accurate.

None of the schools in the SEC match up at all with any Ivey League school or MIT.

That may be true, but I've worked with several Ivy League engineers and I haven't been impressed. Maybe they were good at school work, but the quality of their work in the real world has been questionable at best. They also whined about working in the heat (manufacturing plants) a lot.

And the reason I linked the list is because he had 3 SEC schools ranked ahead of em...which obviously isn't the case.

Never worked with Ivy engineers but I have worked with a Harvard MBA,Wharton undergrad and a Dartmouth grad.

I must say while pretty arrogant all were smart AND hard working.

While all have done very well, the Dartmouth guy who majored in Anthropology of all things, ended up being the most successful. He has done several start ups in Silicon Valley but he was also very well connected.(Dad was Microsoft President in the 90's)
