We are dealing with actual "Schools" after all. Straight out of College:

Vanderbilt - $95,000
Florida. $80,000
Texas. $80,000
Auburn. $78,000
Texas A&M. $75,000
UGA. $65,000
Missouri. $64,000
Tennessee. $52,000
Alabama. $50,000
Oklahoma. $48,000
LSU. $42,000
Arkansas. $41,000
Ole Miss. $40,000
Miss State. $40,000
Kentucky. $40,000
South Car. $40,000

I depends on which State you live in and what particular businesses are paying at the moment.

Oklahoma surprises me. They don't have a lot to work with given their location. But you can't deny their National presence in Football.

Money talks however. And ALL Universities are good at something.

I understand the rest of them, but the Cocks got some explaining to do.

South Carolina does not have a very good School over all. You can crunch the numbers all you like, but "teaching", "learning Math" and exploring other aspects of education is simply not their forte at the moment.

Numbers don't lie.

Money talks.

Vanderbilt makes sense. The next 4 I assume is due to the agriculture and/or engineering programs at each school. Engineering is about the only bachelors degree where you can leave the academy and expect to earn a decent salary these days. My guess is that the the middle third on this list performs better with graduate and doctorate degrees considered but the top third may do even better?

All of the bottom of this Conference needs some work to do.

If you can't earn over $50,000 per year in order to take care of your family and pay your bills, then your University has failed you.

Don't hate on people who actually made it. Like I said, the numbers don't lie.

Numbers lie all the time. For example choosing to limit by B.S degree almost immediately slants the list in favor of schools that specialize in engineering as I alluded to in my previous message.

Also, the goal of the academy is not to directly help you make money. It is about skill acquisition and sometimes skills have societal value but do not have a commiserate economic value. Some people do all the college education for money but some are doing it to enrich themselves and expand the depth of knowledge in civilization.

Auburn is not allowed to turn anyone in the State of Alabama away that pursues an education in either Agriculture or Engineering. By Alabama State law.

That doesn't mean that if they can't pass classes in those two focuses that they will have a place going forward.

I admit that we have a low GPA acceptance rate in High Schools across the State in Alabama, but no one is lying to you about how much money you WILL make after graduating.

Correct, ag schools like Auburn, Mississippi St and A&M tend to focus on engineering in which the salaries are predictable.

Schools like Alabama are more well-known and tend to do better with liberal arts...business, history, journalism...in which salaries vary greatly but have a far more diverse alumni base in several industries.

But yes, liberal arts schools tend to be the ones that have the law schools which evens things out. Auburn, Mississippi State don't have one, A&M only recently bought one in 2012 by purchasing Texas Wesleyan in Ft. Worth but it's certainly not on the level of Vanderbilt, Florida, Alabama and UGA.

You are incorrect. Money talks especially in a Higher Academic environment. The whole purpose of being accepted to a 4 year Bachelor's of learning is being able to make said money for the Degree, going forward.

Why do it otherwise?

This is not rocket science.

We can't help that the University of Alabama became a Diploma Mill and cheapened you Graduates for $30,000 for loss per year as a result.

That was a very bad decision. Have fun allocating every student in the State that has a 1.50 GPA.

Yea Alabama!

I personally like my money on the Plains.

This is silly.

Pretty much all of these schools are the same shite (state university) with the exception of Vandy, Florida, Texas and TAMU.

Texas is the best school here considering upward potential and # of alumni. Vandy follows, average kid is better than UT but the top 100 kids at UT are more impressive.

Florida is a great flagship. TAMU is good for engineering, especially petroleum.

And then it's pretty much the same shite after that - unless you really want to be a journalist lol
