There is a distinct lack of a self-proclaimed basketball powerhouse that claims to be "back" every year.

They're counting Helms games that they're sure they would have won had the games occurred.

Ah, like those fake banners their neighbors in Lawrence have. Must be a Big 12 thing.
Missouri State actually has more wins.

Texas is 7-1-1 vs Alabama in football. Do you think they are a better all-time program than Alabama?

Lsu clearly

4 more final 4’s

5 more elite 8’s

3 more conference championships

More sweet 16 and tournament appearances overall

Actually I thought Alabama would be closer in comparison but nah

Without the NCAA, Kentucky would have way more had they not been barred from playing in 1952-53 and if probably 40-50 wins hadn’t been taken away at different times.

I have no idea why Alabama fans want to dive into the all time argument with LSU on a regular basis. I promise that no one gives a flying frick about Alabama's basketball tradition.

You can gladly have the all time series and those extra wins in conference during what, the 70's? lmao I will gladly take LSU's really deep tradition of NBA players, tournament runs, just as many SEC titles, etc.

I guess that the problem with Bama's basketball claim is it is the exact opposite of their football claim. In football Bama fans say that trophies are all that matter when being the best; in basketball Bama fans say trophies don't matter.

To be fair, in football we own all the head to heads and the championships. It isn't an either or.

But yea, I agree with your general argument. Postseason matters most in basketball and we're historically cursed.
